Poor Jas. The manipulation of the neck made me feel a bit 🤢.

I'm a nervous passenger these days , let alone actually driving anywhere myself
People who go crazy on our roads should watch this programme , although I did miss the first part and I don't know the full details of this accident.

The bit I picked up was that her car left the road at high speed and whilst the side impact air bags deployed, the steering wheel airbag did not. Such a sad situation.

TokyoSushi · 19/01/2023 10:46

Thanks for highlighting that this was on, I'll look it up on iPlayer, it's an amazing programme.

the80sweregreat · 19/01/2023 10:49

Would the car insurance pay out for Jas?

hattie43 · 19/01/2023 10:49

Incredible surgeons and teams . It just shows how life can change in an instant . My heart went out to jas amazing lady and thank goodness she looked like she had a good family around her

the80sweregreat · 19/01/2023 10:55

They are just so calm and collected through such tricky ops and situations
Amazing people

Would the car insurance pay out for Jas?

Don't think so unless another vehicle was responsible.

Toddlerteaplease · 19/01/2023 14:13

I was wondering how ?Ben, managed to crash into a metal gate. Did they say how it happened?

OP posts:
the80sweregreat · 19/01/2023 17:14

I missed the first ten minutes of this , so I don't know how Dan's accident happened.
It was good that he did survive , but a long recovery by the sounds of it

LIZS · 19/01/2023 17:17

They didn't give any further details of the incidents , just that Ben had driven into a metal gate and Jas' car had rolled off the road at 70mph.

Sidge · 19/01/2023 21:38

This series is so incredible.

The imaging of Jas’s injury was shocking.

the80sweregreat · 20/01/2023 10:56

As I said to dh, you don't know if your air bags will work at all until you need them
Scary thought
I'd love an update on both of these people one day. It really made me think how fragile life is

megletthesecond · 22/01/2023 23:13

I was holding my breath through that. Amazing NHS teamwork putting Jas, Ben and Jill back together.

Msgrieves · 22/01/2023 23:33

It's a great program, so interesting. I also loved the one about the new doctors, wish they would do a follow up.

Toddlerteaplease · 18/01/2023 21:41

I will
Also ask one of our consultant orthopaedic surgeons, if a village policeman can do the job. I'll report back the reaction.

In know, that comment surprised me a bit!

just incredible what these people do day in day out. I’m in awe of them all.

Definitely

purpleme12 · 23/01/2023 01:27

The ankle made me feel squeamish and I'm not a squeamish person.

Jaswinder came across really brave. I hope she's doing ok (as she can) now

ItsRainingPens · 25/01/2023 07:56

It's an awesome programme. That X-ray of Jas' neck was so shocking. I called my husband over to see it and he couldn't believe she was till alive. And the compassion those surgeons have. It must be so tough keeping a lid on emotions whilst at the same time knowing your every move can make or break a person's future

MaggieFS · 25/01/2023 21:09

It's on again. Anyone else watching?

I am! This is bloody amazing.

MaggieFS · 25/01/2023 21:16

I keep forgetting to breath myself. Keep holding my breath for them already.

JellyBeanFactory · 25/01/2023 21:21

These guys could never be paid enough. Such expertise and knowledge.
And all this amazing treatment is on the NHS.

I missed this comment! Who said a village policemen could be an ortho?!

TheChosenTwo · 25/01/2023 21:25

Glad I’ve got this on series link; totally forgot!
Last weeks episode had me watching behind my fingers, the way they got that second chest drain in 😫
And that ankle snap!!!! And then the neck injury, I mean, what a way someone’s life can totally turn around in the space of a couple of seconds, we really just have no idea what’s around the corner from one day to the next.

MaggieFS · 25/01/2023 21:32

Oh flipping heck

MaggieFS · 25/01/2023 21:36

He's slicing that brain like a loaf!
