Started watching the Pottery Showdown and it's so nice to see pretty normal folk on it. I do worry that this "look" would put girls off "business".

I agree - she’s pretty. It’s probably harsh studio lighting plus bags from being woken up early. There’s about 2 of them with a reasonable face 😆 Karen is also a bit scarily overdone now

Also why do all the women make cakes or sell clothes or beauty services?

I agree. They all look the same and all very badly made up and stripper hills. What kind of message is this sending out. The boys look pretty normal. Why do women do this?

Dd watches it with us. She's the same age I used to watch Dynasty. I worry a little that she thinks that this is what adult women are meant to look like, but I don't want to be too scathing, because I don't want her to judge women's choices.

I think there are maybe 1 or 2 without lips done. V weird. And some of the lips are terribly done.

Yes agree. I don’t like to comment on what women look like but wow. The lips are too much. They all look the same. It’s obvious who has had their lips done.

The only two women without their lips done are the S Asian women. I hope they step up soon. Also, why are they all dressed in shocking pink and shrieking blue?

It's amazing the boys managed to lose even after the girls bought 1 kg of fish for 400 baos! I am bad at maths myself, but even I am not that bad.

I work In a hospital and we all wear masks but back in the summer we had a 2 week reprieve. I was shocked at the number of young women who had duck lip hiding under their masks!

Oh dearie me. I am no good at numbers therefore I will set up my own business and go on TV to get a big investment. I can only imagine the business plans... Can't see any of them winning.

I was a bit confused - Shannon quit at the start of the boardroom grilling but after she'd completed the bun task. Yet, on the Fired programme, all the sound bites from the other women saying "oh Shannon was lovely" "we'll miss her smiling face" etc etc were filmed in Mauritius. How did that happen?

I'm confused because I don't recall Kevin at all from last week. I thought he'd just wandered in off the street at first.

We haven’t had a proper chat. I didn’t actually know who he was as he was a bit before my time and I often used to wave and say hi if I saw him but then I found out and now I’m too embarrassed. The neighbours who know him well say he’s lovely. He does seem nice tbf

They didn't exactly go for the natural look in Dynasty, to be fair. Did anyone's hair ever move in the wind?

Within 2 mins of the task starting I said Kevin would be fired, as he was getting so much airtime after barely seeing him at all last week

Bit late to the party here so possibly already been said but DD mentioned (and I agree) the lack of diversity especially in the female team. Especially in terms of age and ethnicity and intelligence
And I can't believe that none of them can do (fairly basic) maths. They're supposed to be amazing business brains, some are allegedly successful entrepreneurs.....but cant do that calculation between 5 of them with a pen and paper available!!

I remember in series 1 or 2 one of them made an error in a perfume task and it was a really expensive ingredient which possibly blew their budget and cost them the task. It seemed like quite a big deal, at the time because they had more seemingly competent candidates

Oh I remember that. It involved sandalwood as the more expensive scent

I always assumed they had people styling them. I know we see them getting ready but I assumed there'd be a hair and makeup team too that we don't see, and that the bright coloured dresses were to make it easier to distinguish between them all.

Although clearly that doesn't work because I agree they all look the same, fake hair, fake lips, fake tan. Its such a shame.

It offends me that they seem to have no variety of clothes for different tasks
Just a suit (with tie for men, stilettos for women) but they wear that for
-working in a factory/industrial kitchen

• decorating
• gardening
• rushing about at a market etc

....apart from the awful holiday tours where they dress in uniforms.

I always think it’s chinny when they get a call whilst asleep at 3am saying “be ready in 20mins” and they’re able to wake / shower / eat / wash & curl hair / apply fake eyelashes / apply 3 inches of contouring / get dressed up and out the door in 20mins! 😂

The women clearly spend at least 1-2 hours getting ready, the men probably not much less. HOW do they think we believe they go from asleep to sitting in those black cars in 20mins?!?!

Yeah I was like 'can she even get those rollers out in 20 minutes?' never mind get them in and get dressed!

I watched the first few seasons of The Apprentice. Then I stopped watching for some reason and resumed watching only last year. I am really sad at how they have dumbed it down, and how all the women appear to be recruited from Love Island or TOWIE. The men aren't any too bright either, but at least they have normal lips and clothes.
Just the sight of all the women teetering around on stilettoes in Antigua!

Anyway, I guess I can stop watching and switch to The Traitors US:)

Yes, and it's almost always dark when one of them takes the call but bright the apparent 20 minutes later when they all get it to the car.

You might even say it's suspicious.
