I liked Joe too and the limit on the drinks wasn't his idea. One glass with each course? It's not a wine pairing! On the other hand, I think the market is full of every kind of eco-friendly lip balm, so I'm not sure how viable his business is.

Lawandsawdus · 11/02/2023 09:49

I wonder if this means no double firings as would not have enough candidates left?

I wonder if this means no double firings as would not have enough candidates left?

That was episode 6, at the end of which 10 candidates remained.

There are 12 episodes which will include the interviews, 'The Final Five' rundown show and the final itself, so that means there are three 'task' episodes left in which they need to get down to (usually) 5 candidates, so they could have two double firings or one triple firing, assuming no one else drops out of their own accord.

BogRollBOGOF · 12/02/2023 13:48

We haven't had the manual labour task have we? That tended to be an early one when there were larger teams. There's a point in seeing work ethic and who'll muck in, and those that hang back saying "not my skill set".
Will there be a convention (choose and sell products)
I suppose they were both logistically awkward to organise in recent years, but they did vary the range of tasks.

A shame to see Joe go. They clearly did muster up more water though, so it was daft to make an issue out of limiting a low cost item.
I won't miss Reece. He did uncomfortably remind me of a former aquaintaince which was hard to get past. Not the fairest of reasons, but I don't think he was a series winner anyway.

There are still contestants I'm struggling to name which doesn't bode well.

I ĺiked Meghan again and her attention to detail.

Me too.

Just wondering if Reece maybe objected to being sent to Dubai? There is a thread in active today for a woman being sent to work in dubai and didn't want to as she'd be considered law breaking there as gay.

PlaitBilledDuckyPuss · 13/02/2023 07:38

There was no sign of him objecting in the first bit, where they set off from the house.

Fizbosshoes · 13/02/2023 07:59

Speaking of the house, does anyone else find it weird that we're shown the big luxurious house from the outside and they're all oohing and aarghing how posh and luxurious it is, when they first arrive....but then they all seemed to be crammed in, about 6 to a bedroom? I thought it might be a 6 or 7 bedroom house, in which case there would be 2 or 3 per room?

drunkornot · 13/02/2023 17:42

I’m not impressed by any of the candidates this year. At this point it’s a social experiment to see who does slightly less worse than the other team. Alan Sugar said to Victoria’s team something like “I suppose you’ve won, that’s the rules I guess”. He didn’t even bother to congratulate them.

Seriously doubt it was some moral objection. More likely he has a drink problem and got slaughtered on the flight and got sent home; this embarrased him enough to highlighted his issue to him and he's now trying to get sober, hence left for health reasons. If it is the case all the best to him in trying to keep sober.

Dani really reminds me of dani dyer !

For about five minutes I actually thought it was her.

I actually completely agree that catering is unfair and in no way represents how he’d be in a business setting. Joe actually seemed like a nice guy.

One thing that bugs and bugs me EVERY YEAR is that they always do something really stupid and sexist when it comes to media/advertising related tasks. The big pink bow on top of Yogita the giraffe. The sexist tv ads. They always get told it’s inappropriate and yet every year they still do it!

Newnamenewname109870 · 16/02/2023 13:47

And the sexist stuff they CAN change. Other stuff eg Catering they’re always going to mess up.

We should set up a new thread before tonight's episode as this one only has about 10 posts left.
