Looks like Love Island producers have announced that participants' social media will be locked whilst the programme airs. (Looking for reliable source, so far I can only find tabloid stories).
I hope it's true, I think it's needed.

Yeah I’m getting that vibe too about being thrown out. She’s very confrontational. In the first look clip she said something like “bruv, do you think I flew 11 hours to annoy you?” I can just imagine getting all up in someone’s face!

However, Olivia was really trying to prove that she wasn't "mugged off" and Tom is a knob for playing both angles.

I hope she stays . She is one of the few interesting characters in the house

The series have gone downhill and 99% is fake / staged as we know.
But I'm surprised at how dead the thread is.

The Ekin-Su series thread was quite slow to start off with, I think, @Aquarius1234 . I'm sure I was talking to myself at one point over the summer! I'm sure it will pick up.

I think we got to 10 threads in 2022 whereas I think it was getting on for 40 in 2019.

I find it annoying that Love Island now has to have the women on one side and the men on the other having a debrief about what happened last night. Every. single. Day.

Gone are the days of morning hangover chats (usually involving smoking) with whoever is up about or revealing gossip/drama fallout from the prior night to your best mates (irrespective of gender). Has to be said with the whole girl/boy group only it seems.

Yes! I loved those days. So much more natural.

Best morning hangover chat was season 2 when they all found out about Zara and Alex - nothing will ever beat it!

I’ve just watched Aftersun. Honestly Maya is soo natural and makes the job look easy. She’s funny, seamless, engaged with all the guests. It really makes you realise just how awks Laura was.

I agree about the morning chats and how it's so artificially split. By the look of them, the islanders hate them as much as we do too.

It would be much better if they were allowed to catch up in wee bitchy little groups rather than M/F.

I do think it has the shapings of a good series though and hopefully the threads will get busier if we all keep contributing.

Also why does everything have to seem rehearsed.
I used to love the morning after the night before on big brother. Esp after a fight or intense drama. Seeing how long it took for people to start talking and making up.
You get none of that in LI.
For a start 50% of the show is adverts and music montages.
We are left with 5 minutes of staged chats.

You don't need to watch the episodes these days as first look covers everything.
