Love that pangolin

Piggywaspushed · 19/02/2023 20:48

The pangolin actually looks like metal.

Piggywaspushed · 19/02/2023 20:48

Bye bye Dereli.

Lawandsawdus · 19/02/2023 20:51

agree I’m Pangolin and the panda, amazing. I wonder if the second challenge will make a difference who goes?

HeadNorth · 19/02/2023 20:52

Lois for star potter I think, and Derek for the chop

Piggywaspushed · 19/02/2023 20:52

What was that butchering of Depeche Mode just then?!

It does. That is clever.

Maireas · 19/02/2023 20:55

Bye bye Dereli.

LaChatte · 19/02/2023 20:55

I preferred the red panda.

Saucery · 19/02/2023 20:55

Dereli!

Wolfcub · 19/02/2023 20:55

I liked panda and pangolin but think with the metallic finish the pangolin more closely fulfilled the brief

Piggywaspushed · 19/02/2023 20:56

Dereli going home with his ferreli.

Grin dying

Saucery · 19/02/2023 20:57

There’ll be a large, malevolent pottery ferret dumped in a bin at the train station, I bet.

They used to have a different name , didn't they?

Scaley anteater

Emotionalsupportviper · 19/02/2023 22:22

Apologies @Piggywaspushed - I read on a couple of posts and saw that you had remembered.

Piggywaspushed · 19/02/2023 22:32

That's all right. In my old age ,I probably need to be told twice.

knittingaddict · 20/02/2023 09:29

The right decisions, but very sad to see Derek go. He was very funny and the ferret was priceless.

I thought the pagolin was going to win - great design and excellent use of the oxides. The tiger and red panda were great designs, but failed a bit on the use of oxides. I loved the panda though and it was such a shame that the glazes didn't work so well.

The editing is getting a bit obvious now though. It was clear that the tiger would have too much oxide glaze on it because they keep cutting between the judges talking about how too much would cover up the design and James saying how thick he was putting the oxides on. It was like George and his broken lamp all over again.

MadamLeota · 20/02/2023 10:49

Aww by weird coincidence. 18th February was world pangolin day 😂

Maireas · 20/02/2023 10:56

World Pangolin Day
Let us all enter this date in our diaries and celebrate next year.
