Pottery Throw down is BACK!

Hello all GPTD fans the next series has been announced and will start on 8th January at 7:45. It’s a Sunday night and it’s on Channel 4 as usual.

Festive Pottery Throw Down is on Christmas Day too. James Fleet, Jamie Laing, Jenny Eclair and Sunetra Sarker are the celebrities taking part this year.

I amazed the judges didn’t mention Helen’s gargoyle, I thought it was great. Right person to go, but it does seem like everyone loved her.

She made a mess of it a few weeks ago and was whinging. Tonight she did it again. Glad she's gone.

I think George should have been potter of the week - his fish was an unusual choice but executed well and he came 2nd in the Technical - I think he was unlucky not to get it last week either

I think it all came down to his plain roof tile- but honestly, the craft in the fish!

I also don't get why Helen's was so overlooked.

George is very affable though so I'm sure he's fine with it!

It was Rebecca's turn to go. She made a wrong decision having a two-headed gargoyle; she couldn't make the heads big enough to have an impact.
I didn't like James's that much; I thought it looked like fur or feathers, not scales. Everything he makes seems to be a chicken. His chimney pot was great though. I loved the excitement from Helen when the chimney guy came on. She's clearly a bit of a groupie Grin

I think I like Lois the best. I think she's a genuine artist and I love her style. She's kind to the others too. Caitlin is getting much more confident as well and she has some very good ideas. I'm a little weary of George and his shambling 'Oh gosh, me?' thing. I like Derek and his wry humour, but think his technique and knowledge are less than some of the others' and are starting to let him down.
