William "screamed and shouted" at Harry.

felulageller · 15/12/2022 10:37

Ep5.
So that's the big accusation we've been waiting for.

Then a denial that he, Harry, denied William had bullied him and MM.

Denying that you denied it so implying it was true that William was bullying them?

Never liked William anyway. Hope he's never King.

Yes @skippy67 i did watch it. And I took everything with a pinch of salt - so many holes in their story. So many non stories. I'd probably shout at Harry if he was my brother. His sense of entitlement is something else. Two of the most privileged people in the world having a whingefest playing the victims.

OK cool. How do you know there are holes in their story?

Seriously have any of you actually bothered watching the documentary?
Why would anyone want to watch it though? Seriously?

No Netflix here so I've been following the BBC reporting of the content,

Georgeskitchen · 15/12/2022 12:46

Its very sad. They have a lovely home in california, 2 beautiful healthy children and none of the financial burdens that many in the world are suffering right now. They could do so much good, charity works etc, instead they choose to take millions to air family grievances that could, and should be dealt with privately.
It's all very one sided and since the RF can't really respond publicly, it's very difficult to form a balanced opinion.
Although I'm in no doubt than either "side" is squeaky clean

Is it surprising William lost his temper with Harry? He started acting like a total muppet since he got with Meghan.

It’s funny how that H & M made such a song and dance about wanting their privacy and not being in the media’s eyes etc, when all they’ve done is tv interviews, books and now Netflix series.

Complete and utter attention seekers and Harry is just embarrassing himself. Glad the Queen doesn’t have to bear any more of their pathetic saga.

@Moonlightdust And another one! They NEVER said they wanted privacy!!!

TollgateDebs · 15/12/2022 12:47

I am struggling to believe anything they say and thinking Jackanory had more factual content!

The bigger question, is not why watch it, free country do what the fuck you want. But why come to a thread, in the TV section, about a TV show if you haven't watched it? Makes you look uninformed and just wanting to post hateful shite.

@Iwanttogo Really!! You scream and shout at relatives?

Reading many of the in-law posts on MN I'm amazed at how sane we seem to be, arguing seems to be the norm.

If you think what I asked is hateful you've got a problem. Ridiculous.

@MorningMeditation Your original post included racism

Yes - and my original post included hate, and trauma - I was making the point that Harry is pretending that his brother shouting at him was part of Harry's made-up narrative of hate, trauma and racism, which is all in Harry's imagination

OP your original post included racism??
Easy to say why you hate Meghan.

So you're saying that Meghan and Harry are 'lying' about the racism she faced, even when there is actual proof? You're calling a black woman a liar?

daretodenim · 15/12/2022 12:50

I don't know if there are paperazzi restrictions in the US? I remember when Kate and William were on honeymoon there were topless photos of her published abroad, but not in the U.K. - although searchable online I think (I lived abroad - didn't go searching!). There were some other topless photos of her printed sunbathing on a balcony in some private house or something, that weren't in the U.K.

While I agree that the U.K. press as pockets (at least) that are awful, they do have restrictions on what they print. They are also self-censoring, if what I've read today is true - and it makes sense that if you want the palace to cooperate with you you're not going to write everything you see and hear. But it wasn't the British press whose chase killed his mother. It isn't the British press who print the most uncontrolled nonsense. They also do, but it's definitely not only them.

What H&M have done now is increased the price on their heads. They've increased their profile so increased the prize price that a good photo of them will get. And it's not only paps these days who have access to the means to get these photos. And it's not only the two of them either, but their kids.

As a parent, I'd never do that to my children. Especially not when it's caused me so much pain. I'd want to do everything to make sure my children never experienced anything like it.

Something Harry has pointed out as a failure in his father's parenting.

Because I want to hear their side of things.

I don't blindly believe everything written in the press.

The truth is always somewhere in the middle and you will never know unless you hear both sides.

DownNative · 15/12/2022 12:50

I've got the world's smallest violin out for Harry..... 🎻

Overpampered rich boy who has no idea how bad he looks during a cost of living crisis when he's getting a handsome addition to his bulging bank account.

It really is not the norm. There are lots of dysfunctional people on MN who can not get on with people in real life.

britsabroad · 15/12/2022 12:51

@skippy67 because those inconsistencies have been widely reported, misuse of imagery, doctored voice/video clips all to fit H&M narrative. I think if Netflix had made a less biased documentary I might be able to take it more seriously. I don't think there's any substance to H&Ms story. I think they could have told "their" story in a better way. This was not how to do it.

people coming to this thread to hate on meghan, based on a snippet of a tv show they haven't watched, yes. As demonstrated by plenty of posts on this thread. It's being used as yet another opportunity to bash and hate Ob them

@skippy67 : Harry said: 'It was terrifying to have my brother scream and shout at me'

That's a partial quote though. The full quote is "it was terrifying to have my brother scream and shout at me, and have my father say things that simply weren't true, and my grandmother quietly sit there, and, you know, take it all in."

NooNakedJacuzziness · 15/12/2022 12:52

Shame we'll never hear the other side - can't imagine William sharing "his truth" though. That's why H&M can say whatever they like - not a fair contest

Unclear if you're wishing for the downfall of the entire Monarchy or you're wishing a fairly young father of three dead??

Siblings can yell and scream at each other without it being bullying. Soemtiems it's just shit family dynamics. Sometimes it's just a bad day (or pregnancy hormones eh sister?)

It’s crossed over into mainstream news, people can comment on what they like. It’s probably better to watch the source but it’s not a requirement. You don’t need a degree in geopolitics to comment on the Ukraine war or environmental science to have an opinion on climate change fgs.

Makes you look like a control freak if you can’t handle idle opinions on a forum if we’re chucking around accusations.

….On topic ‘brothers arguing’ is hardly a revelation.

CurlyhairedAssassin · 15/12/2022 12:54

Interesting to read this after I saw this morning's "headlines". I haven't watched more than 2 episodes yet, but it really made me laugh the threads on here about the episodes I'd seen. They were mostly all from people frothing about the "headlines" they'd read about the series, rather than actually watching the WHOLE episodes themselves.

Also funny how so many people saying Harry is a whinger and suggesting they are attention-seeking because they have claimed there will be "revelations". I don't think they have ever claimed anything so dramatic, have they? They have always said that this series was just putting across their side of things, that's all. So is it people feeling disappointed that they've had nothing juicier than a sibling argument that everyone is complaining about on here? How bizarre.

I'm interested to see exactly what Harry says about William shouting and how he says it, compared to how it's been presented in the news, and thus on here, today. Then I'll make my mind up. Quite happy to change my mind when I've seen it.

This is another lie that really boils my piss. The RF can respond publicly, they've responded publicly about things before. They CAN, and they DO. It's their choice if they choose not to.
