I did wonder about the length of the thread- i had issues before Christmas on the last thread (but put it down to MN 'tweaking' something and messing everything up. ) I didn't have a problem at the start of theis thread- but now I press 'post' and it takes ages for anything to happen - if it does at all!

@FuzzyPuffling my relatives live in South Yorkshire (near Barnsley)and although none of them worked down the pit, I know the pain runs deep still in some families.

My DD is a Barnsley lass. I used to live opposite Woolley pit. The big one..!

I have amended my setting, so now get fewer posts to the page or something (I've never had to do this in 17 years). Anyway, it seems to have done the trick, and I am finding it easier to post.

I also though today was a Tuesday. Obviously it's not - and I have already watched all of Father Brown, so I will stick with the tennis (which is going on a while and will probably still be going then
