Hopefully Raahh can post on this one.

Nearly time for the Christmas cliffhanger!

OP posts:
Raahh · 05/01/2023 14:07

Talk to her, Scarlett!

EspeciallyDetermined · 05/01/2023 14:08

I’m not sure dating the patients is allowed though Scarlett

doctorsnoddy · 05/01/2023 14:08

Poor Scarlett - things are just unremittingly bleak for her. What horrid patients she's had!

FuzzyPuffling · 05/01/2023 14:10

Mr Scarlett should give first dibs on the chocs to Scarlett. He is unremittingly a CRAP DAD.

EspeciallyDetermined · 05/01/2023 14:10

Mr Scarlett doesn’t seem to feel any guilt over Scarlett running herself ragged with two jobs.

ICrunchCrispsNotNumbers · 05/01/2023 14:10

Stop shaking your head and bloody ring the landlady!

Raahh · 05/01/2023 14:10

Oh poor Scarlett. Sad

Time dad got off his arse, that's what is going to happen, Scarlett.

LIZS · 05/01/2023 14:11

He needs to get off his backside and find work. They have a lot of lights on.

EspeciallyDetermined · 05/01/2023 14:12

Karen has made a very speedy recovery

doctorsnoddy · 05/01/2023 14:12

I was just thinking that LIZS. He's surely capable of doing something.

ICrunchCrispsNotNumbers · 05/01/2023 14:14

Didn't know people recover from heart attacks that quickly.

ICrunchCrispsNotNumbers · 05/01/2023 14:18

Well, Mr Scarlett is just full of suggestions. Hmm

Binglebong · 05/01/2023 14:25

Well Scarlett just turned 21 so age difference is fine. She has pretty much had the same day as i have today- gitty lying clients.

LilyAndTheKing · 05/01/2023 21:27

The NHS no longer perform vasectomies. And certainly wouldn't on a bloke in his early twenties 🤔

LilyAndTheKing · 05/01/2023 21:30

Scarlett dad is really useless.
Why all the lights on, I noticed that too.

Binglebong · 05/01/2023 22:37

It's male so they might. If a woman wanted her tubes tied she'd need to be 90+.

Sorry, cynical today.

Raahh · 06/01/2023 07:58

The thing that always strikes me about Scarlett's house (well, kitchen- we dont see much else of it) is the place is spotless- gleaming tiles. Scarlett is never there- and I can't imagine layabout Dad does any cleaning- plus they can't aford food- let alone cleaning products- but there was a full bottle of washing up liquid on the window sill. They probably don't use much of it, if they arent using a lot of crockery though [sad.

Scarlett's dad makes me angry- he must see how over worked she is? I'm not sure where the storyline is leading up to- but at some point she must reach breaking point, or do something stupid /illegal?

Iwould like to see her strike up s freindship with Luca though- mght be good for them both. I don't think the friendship with Emma is (for Luca) is going to last - I think he may have moved on, find her a bit stifling at times.

EspeciallyDetermined · 06/01/2023 08:48

I was surprised to see Scarlett getting a taxi home from work, surely that isn't affordable to most people, let alone someone struggling to make ends meet. I had also noticed the pristine condition of their house, I can't imagine Pathetic Dad makes much contribution to the cleaning.

Raahh · 06/01/2023 09:19

Especially the taxi (when she went to/from Gobby's) was paid for by the practice- Bear saw she was struggling at work (was a short on the phone) and asked her to visit Gobby, and it was all paid for/ arranged by the Mill.

EspeciallyDetermined · 06/01/2023 09:59

Ah ok, I wasn't paying full attention (nothing new there then Grin)

Raahh · 06/01/2023 10:53

To be honest, I'm surprised I remembered Grin. Becausewhen I first read your post, I did think it was odd.

What has happened to the electric car? (Not that Scarlett can drive).

I am taking down my Christmas decorations. It always makes me sad. SadThere is a particular tree ornament that dd2 made at brownie, about 4 years ago and I love it- it always makes me smile- I hate putting it away in the box, and am tempted to keep it out . (DD2 hates it - It is a picture of her, in an angel foam/frame shape. - but it looks a bit like a spaceman Grin).
Last year was pretty miserable, and I have no great expectations about this year. I need something to lift me out of the gloom.

LilyAndTheKing · 06/01/2023 12:05

Oh Raahh it's sad to see your expectations are no better for this year. Sorry to see that 😞

IamupInSpaceMan · 06/01/2023 12:10

Temporary name change to match Raahh dd's space man decoration.
We've got a hand made one from our ds age 5/6 and we call it the kitler angel, it has a dodgy black fringe and moustache.
(Kitler as we cannot same the vile person's name and there's a website for cats who look similar)

IamupInSpaceMan · 06/01/2023 12:13

We cannot "say" ^ not "same"

Raahh · 06/01/2023 12:13

Lily I'm sure it will all be fine- I do have a habit of worrying my life away.

I think I need a badger dress in my life Grin Wouldn't suit me- but i would smile just looking at it.
