As others have said, I don't like it when they split the group because someone tomorrow could majorly fuck up, whereas Chris, who has been very strong until now, went out over a couple of slight errors.

Getting feedback from actual Michelin star chefs and then from that loud lump? You can see the contestants' eyes glaze over when he speaks. It's like Springsteen giving a musician feedback and then Timmy Mallett butting in saying 'when I was No.1 in the charts with Itsy Witsy Teeny Weeny Yellow Polka Dot Bikini...'

Sometimes I need to remind myself these are the same chefs who did so badly at the start.

Perhaps it shows how much nerves play in the initial rounds. How many decent chefs get eliminated just due first round nerves. But then again coping with the nerves is part of it, not just cooking.

Sorry to be AWOL yesterday I was in A&E getting a dog bite seen to (not my lovely dogs I hasten to add). It's a nightmare typing atm so I will be with you watching tonight but not commenting
