Yay!

Am watching it at the mo and they seem - disappointingly - pretty normal people. I love location and grand designs when the people are nutters.

Botbot · 30/01/2008 20:04

i'm here. just finishing me tea though.

expatinscotland · 30/01/2008 20:05

£500,000 for the two, though, and one's in Suffolk? A 4-bed, detached, HUGE living space, no less.

And she's job hunting.

And pregnant.

me too

how you can live in a place when you've never even visited either area?

Wendyjayb · 30/01/2008 20:06

I'm watching
Essential view for a Wed night

Botbot · 30/01/2008 20:06

Yes, not nutters. A bit daft maybe.

Mog · 30/01/2008 20:06

They are mad moving to Suffolk!! I've just made the move the opposite way and they will miss the warmth, vibrancy and buzz of Newcastle. They will hate it I tell you!!!

interstellar · 30/01/2008 20:07

me.My one night off a week and i wisely choose to spend it raising my blood pressure. Is the baby Kirsty is obvs expecting on screen the baby she had ages ago,or is it a new one?

expatinscotland · 30/01/2008 20:08

Man, even the freeholds Kirstie was looking at were way over £350,000!

Did they pick Suffolk so they could get to France more easily?

I'm confused.

There must be some reason why they want to move there, never having visited.

A job he doesn't even have yet in Felixstowe! What sort of job is it he's after I missed that bit?

Botbot · 30/01/2008 20:10

I missed the bit about where the money came from. He's just been back to university (I refuse to say 'uni'), she's a part-time charity worker. And they're paying cash. Did they win the lottery?

Kirstie's (enormous) baby was born a week after my dd, so this prog is at least 18 months old.

Botbot · 30/01/2008 20:11

'logistics'

Shipping, I presume.

GetOrfMoiLand · 30/01/2008 20:12

Ooh look at that - look what you could do to that house!

Now where did I put my spare £350K!

expatinscotland · 30/01/2008 20:13

he apparently got the money from rennovating 4 properties.

Botbot · 30/01/2008 20:13

They're not ones to turn up their noses at brown swirly carpets. This makes them OK in my book.

Let's hope there's a nutter on GD later.

interstellar · 30/01/2008 20:14

But i can't see why moving to that part of suffolk is practical for getting to france.

GetOrfMoiLand · 30/01/2008 20:14

lol botbot 'logistics'. Yes, they mean despatch!

Botbot · 30/01/2008 20:14

Oh, that makes sense then.

expatinscotland · 30/01/2008 20:14

bot, they turned up their nose at it.

said it wasn't big enough.

OP posts:
Botbot · 30/01/2008 20:15

(I mean the money, not the logistics.)

expatinscotland · 30/01/2008 20:16

She's starting to moo. Yep, just give it time before the cow bells start ringing.

OP posts:
Botbot · 30/01/2008 20:17

Ooh, bit of a strop. Perhaps this one has potential (rubs hands)

GetOrfMoiLand · 30/01/2008 20:17

lol expat

yes, toys are being thrown out the pram

Botbot · 30/01/2008 20:18

Has Kirstie's bump just suddenly got bigger or is it me?
