I'm not hating MH ConfusedShock

JenniferBooth · 12/11/2022 14:26

Im hating him. I dont like gaslighters

BellaCiao1 · 12/11/2022 14:26

I find it incredible how gullible the British Public are.

Matt Hancock is clearly performing a very rehearsed version of himself. Everything he says sounds robotic, as though he's reading it from a script. It's all damage limitation to curry favour with the public.

He broke rules he created - ones others were being FINED for such as meeting in parks with friends for coffee. Also, no mention of the contracts Hancock gave to people closely linked to him including the £37b Track and Trace which was an abject failure.

Never mind the fact he is a sitting MP, getting paid £400k for 3 weeks air time while his constituents worry about their next meal. It's a disgrace, those turning a blind eye to it and saying they are giving him a chance is how so much corruption is tolerated in society. Any wonder this country is a shit show.

BellaCiao1 · 12/11/2022 14:29

Also, Matt Hancock getting voted for every trial is ruining the show.

JenniferBooth · 12/11/2022 14:31

@BellaCiao1 I completely agree What they did to us was psychological abuse and the gaslighting is a part of that. The "it was just guidance" bullshit. Guidance that people were fined for if they didnt follow it.
Its like an abusive relationship on a mass scale.

Getting a bit tired of patronising comments like this. People having a different opinion to you is not them being "gullible", no matter how much you'd like it to be so.

He's one person, not the big bad "gaslighting" government. He is human, as are all politicians. It's fine to like or dislike him based on what we know of him and how he comes across. But please stop with the "You're so gullible! That's what THEY want you to think!" nonsense.

I would also have liked to see Owen do the food trial. Think that would have been very entertaining Grin

Rollergirl11 · 12/11/2022 15:14

@XanaduKira ahh okay. I did see him doing some dance moves for Owen. I thought Owen was in on the joke. Don’t really think it constitutes bullying.

@Aquarius1234 how presumptuous. I didn’t seek him out on Radio X. I used to listen to the station when it was XFM. Thought I would give Radio X a go when it took over. Was expecting CM to be unpalatable but was pleasantly surprised.

JenniferBooth · 12/11/2022 15:15

He WAS gaslighting by saying it was just guidance How can it be guidance when people were being fined and are STILL being taken to court.

When the voting for your favourite starts I will vote for Matt to win.

I agree. He’s doing well in the trials tbf but we need to see others doing something, other than sitting on a log.

BG is miffed about MH being there. I’m more miffed that BG is there but there we go 🤷🏻‍♀️

JaneJeffer · 12/11/2022 15:34

* I* would like to see Matt Hancock win
Why though??

Not watching but I can see this would be annoying, it should be shared more

On people not hating him etc I can see it’s helping him in some ways to do the show

Bold didn't work. @kerstina why do you think he should win?

itsgettingweird · 12/11/2022 15:45

Whoever did the line up this year is genius.

They've chucked in MH with his own very public demons and mistakes.

But they've chucked him in with people who all have misdemeanours off the past - either criminal or as public (Eg SW affair like MH).

It's great psychology when you have people who've broken the law and been fined or even imprisoned holding judgement over another - who only broke guidance and even admitted to it and quit.

I'm no fan of MH. I'm no fan of any Tory minister but it's certainly interesting entertainment watching the combination of camp mates.

limitedperiodonly · 12/11/2022 15:48

@itsgettingweird you've said exactly what I think

Whatever can it be about the relentlessly nice Greek god-like Owen Warner that inspires such convulsions of envy in the wizened homunculus Chris Moyles?

Blondeshavemorefun · 12/11/2022 16:00

Slightly late to the game

But I can say

Cock ate cock 😂😂😂😂

And very fair game he was too !!!

to be fair they both did the task with relish !!!

been an eventful night in real life so just seen last nights now and read thread 2

still a lot of matt hate

i wanted to reply on several posts on 2 agreeing

matt didn’t cause the virus and like Boris I like they did the best they could do under the circumstances

it was all new to them and us

Blondeshavemorefun · 12/11/2022 16:02

And I say this every time

should be 2 trials and exempt for the two

if people don’t want to see matt in air time so much

then don’t bloody vote for him

let some of the others do trials

equally , maybe they like being paid vast amounts of money to do fuck all in the jungle

roll on when do the cyclone

that’s my fav

He WAS gaslighting by saying it was just guidance How can it be guidance when people were being fined and are STILL being taken to court.

The law and guidance changed the light the pandemic.

Half the issues around this were the public misunderstand if the changes and differences - rather than people breaking it.

At times there were laws around who you could meet and when. Eventually the number increased and locations increased.

Then there was guidance around this.

However much you hate MH for what he's done or his decisions it doesn't change that when he's telling the truth - that it's the truth.

I really can't wait for the enquiry. I'm interested in who made decisions on what - who got final say - what the medical advisors were saying and what was categorically known at the time.

I don't agree with his affair. I don't like when politicians stick to a party line rather then stand up for what they believe in personally (but that is politics). I'm not a MH fan.

But I'm a fan of the truth and many of the current camp mates are 2 faced and ignoring their own criminal past.

itsgettingweird · 12/11/2022 16:07

Thanks to those who agreed with my above post.

I do feel I should add others who have blinkered pasts and make it clear it's not all! (I may it sound like that)

I'm pretty sure Owen, Jill and Scarlette are innocent of anything!

SkinOfTeeth · 12/11/2022 16:18

MH’s ‘It was Guidance’ is starting to sound like ‘We were on a break!’

To me it sounds like he’s gone in with a handful of well-rehearsed sayings that he’s repeating like a robot, with absolutely no feeling behind them. ‘I fell in love’ (that purifies the grubby little grope everyone saw’) ‘That’s why I resigned’ (accountability, doing the right thing etc…’) ‘I just want forgiveness’ (nice and general, slightly more abstract and less personal than ‘I just want to be forgiven’)

I don’t believe for a moment that he didn’t rehearse all this, probably with Gina or his Agent or a bunch of his Tory chums well versed in magically making the shit not stick to them.

He was almost smirking when he said ‘it was guidance’. I hate the way Sue leapt in to close the conversation down. Who put her in charge? And where WAS George?
