You know what I mean. Woman gets an inn (left in a will/wins/buys). Goes to a quaint town. Meets attractive but annoying man blah blah.
Very cheesy but I like them! Is it too early to start watching them? I want to see them all! Anyone with me?

I found it in one of the on demand channels ( I think Netflix?). I think it’s also on YouTube.

Does anyone know when a crown for christmas will be on ?

Raahh · 09/11/2022 17:20

lovecats that was on this morning,on GRTXmas (or what ever it's called)Grinbut I don't think it's the first time it's been on, and I doubt it will be the last.

Apparently, it will be on again on that channel (it's 424 on Virgin, not sure about elsewhere)- on the 18/11. But at 6am Grin

Raahh · 09/11/2022 17:23

Bacon 'Home by Christmas' is on GRT!Xmas as well- on the 17/11 at 6pm.

It's Sky 319, and Freeview 52, apparently. But I can't check that.

lovescats3 · 09/11/2022 17:24

Thanks very much Raah, I saw the trailer and it looks like a must watch of schmaltz

Raahh · 09/11/2022 17:27

Grin I've seen it a few times now- one of those US views of a 'European' Royal principality - but at least Rupert Penry Jones doesn't attempt any dodgy accents. Grin

It's on Prime if you've got that.

Raahh · 09/11/2022 17:31

I am currently watching the end of 'Cinderella Christmas'- it really is quite terrible. Grin, and I've seen it several times. Emma Rigby (once of Hollyoaks) must have thought she was going to make her name in Hollywood with this film- but I don't think she has done much else since.

Twistyandtired · 09/11/2022 17:37

I love these movies! In what’s been a pretty rubbish few years they are lovely and predictably feel good movies.

what I don’t like though are the ones where they are set in places where it’s hot and sunny. Xmas movies should be snowy and cold!

Farmageddon · 09/11/2022 21:13

Raahh
But..the main point is Morgan Fairchild was in it. She is about the same age as my mother, early 70s. Her face was ...masklike, shall we say. It was very distracting.

I also thought this about the mother in A Christmas Prince, whatever she has done to her face is just weird, and when she was in a scene it was totally distracting.

iloveyankeecandle · 09/11/2022 21:14

Christmas in Montana and I can't find it anywhere!!!!

ClaireUnderwoodforPresident · 09/11/2022 21:23

Spent the whole Nov & Dec of my maternity leave watching these!

ping78 · 09/11/2022 21:24

They do "comic con" style events in the US for cheesy hallmark Christmas movies!

Fevertree · 10/11/2022 05:29

Has anyone mentioned Chistmas Inheritance yet? I loved that, but my favourite are probably the Christmas Prince movies (there are 3!) on Netflix

Raahh · 10/11/2022 08:08

ping I would love that Grin

'Christmas Inheritance' is another 'Inn in small town/spoilt daughter being taught a lesson' one- with Andi McDowell?

The other thing that crops up a lot in these films is that the small towns are ALWAYS really backward in the barista department - and have never heard of anything other than a black coffee. Cue hiliarious scene of 'city' girl ordering complicated beerage, whilst coffee shop worked rolls eyes and passes her a and empty papercup bog standard coffee. With actualShock milk. Grin

But they soon learn to make mocha chocca macchiato lattes with extra shots and almond milk, by the end.

I had a rare night at home alone last night-DH and DS at the footy.

I had dog and fire in fireplace and was watching Christmas Wedding Planner.
I fell asleep on the sofa for most of the middle, woke up for the end and didn't mind or miss much of the plot for that 30 mins I slept through 😂

That's the beauty of them - it's like a cosy background noise that you can dip in and out of.

Deathraystare · 10/11/2022 10:57

Kh I remember ber the Mariah,Carey one. I think she played that a little too well

Raahh · 10/11/2022 11:02

Death oh ,she really did Grin I'm not sure much acting was needed.

Deathraystare · 10/11/2022 13:49

MissMarplesGoddaughter · 10/11/2022 14:04

MrsMitford3 · 10/11/2022 19:59

Just started Falling for Christmas with Lindsay Lohan.
Anyone with me???

inappropriateraspberry · 10/11/2022 20:41

Just watched Love at the Christmas Contest. Those trees looked awful! And were they trying to pretend the sunflowers were real?
