Late to the thread but enjoying this year so far.
April & George – Editing is doing George no favours he seems to go from chill to Mr Angry pulsing head vein in 0.05 seconds. April comes across as an professional crier if she is called out. I honestly think April is in it for self-promotion whether personal or professional (wedding dress design). I’m not sure long term where this can go as I would be surprised if April wanted to move away from the capital.
Chanita & Jordan – Was hoping these two would be this year’s success story but I don’t think it will be all plain sailing. I like the confidence Chanita displayed with Thomas when discussing the latest drama. She had been shown to be very bubbly and easy going so it was good to see her assertive side. Jordan seems to be playing the loveable class clown but not really had a chance to see his true character.
Jenna & Zoe – The vegan and the meat eater; never the twin shall meet. Both seem nice people, we have seen Zoe’s wit and caring side and Jenna has exposed her vulnerable side regarding her alopecia. Jenna seems unaware of how preachy she comes across and I genuinely think she means no malice but Zoe seems to be getting more and more concerned with their dietary/lifestyle differences.
Jess & Pjay – The reoccurring theme is about Jess wanting/expecting to be looked after and I thing she needs to rescue herself instead of looking for someone else to do it. Her mum seems to have reinforced this expectation too.
Pjay seems a lovely, calm, patient and respectful person. His job might be divisive but he seems to have his head screwed on and comes across much more mature than Jess. The fact is Jess doesn’t fancy him and I don’t think this will change as the chemistry isn’t there.
Kasia & Kwame – I hate how thirsty Kasia has come across, I don’t know it this is manipulated editing or genuine. She is a beautiful, savvy woman and I struggle to see how she would want to be with someone who rebuffed any kind of physical intimacy repeatedly. Kwame comes across as being on the show to promote Kwame and the Kwame podcast. Would not be surprised to discover a secret partner further down the line.
Lara & Richie – Lara clearly wanted a solvent, mature, experienced equal and the matchmakers seem to have thrown her under the bus and given her a needy, dependant man child. She looked so uncomfortable during the honeymoon. it was cringy to watch their interactions.
I struggle to believe that Ritchie is so oblivious to Lara’s obvious discomfort as she was literally rigid and avoiding all eye contact. It appears the penny has finally dropped though and I thing Lara would prefer someone like George as
partner. Richie may be a lovely guy personality wise but he acts like he wants mothering or wants to be looked after and that is a bit grim.
Whitney & Duka – Not sure why Witney is on this show. Its either going to be an epic story of self-discovery and humility or it is going to play out exactly like it did with Nikita last year. Duka must really want to stay on this show for some reason.
Adrian & Thomas – Adrian is the calm and Thomas is the storm. The tantrums and volatility from Thomas may be a defence mechanism but unless Adrian has the patience of a saint this relationship is unlikely to survive. In many ways Thomas has a similar personality to drama llama Nikita from last year and he can be exhausting to watch. Adrian originally came across as a pushover but he seems to be challenging Thomas on his behaviour more frequently. Thomas needs to learn that you cannot spew venom at someone then expect that by saying sorry it will make everything fine again.
