Just watched the end of the men’s doubles final - well done to Joe and Rajeev - the Americans still seem to have a problem with pronouncing Salisbury

Wonder if Joe will get any recognition now - probably not! Does he ever play any singles?

I like both Iga and Ons but it would be nice for Ons to win after losing out in the Wimbledon final

Would really like to watch both men’s semis but definitely won’t see the second one - exciting times!

FIzzy I like Joe a lot - but he never seems to get the same recognition other Brits get. I don't know if he prefers it that way (but I'd be a bit miffed, personally).

Dh is still in hospital , so I am torn between staying up and watching Carlos later - and a possible last decent night of sleep!

I've just seen that Simona Halep has announced she is getting divorced, which is very sad, she's only been married about a year

my Prime is messing about ,which is not great timing.

I didn’t see any of last night’s tennis, I was so tired I had to go to bed at 9. I wasn’t really that bothered who went through but it’s a shame that it probably means Rafa won’t be number 1.

That is a shame about Simona. It can’t be easy keeping relationships going when you’re on the tour. I think her husband was a businessman of some sort if I remember rightly so he probably couldn’t accompany her much.

I fell asleep last night and missed everything.
I woke up and saw the scores for Carlos and Tiafoe halfway- that one was closer and I feel sorry for Frances really. Carlos has a really good chance now.

It does mean that Ruud is number 1 in the live rankings ( by about 40 points) which I am sad about because I don't think Rafa will get the chance now to get the number back, because part of me feels he won't play much the rest of the year.

( his only chance - I think- is if Carlos doesn't win this and Ruud drops a few points in the next few weeks/doesn't play).

Actually- I think Carlos is ahead now, obviously having won his match

Either way, Rafa needed a couple of extra rounds at least to avoid it.

I am looking forward to the women's final now- and actually think it's nice there will be a new champion in both that I will like and the finals will be fun to watch because really I will be happy with the results either way.

Aww I'm glad Carlos won just for how well he played - he was awesome. I hope Big Foe isn't too gutted. I stayed up until it was 2-2 so I'm definitely going back to sleep soon!

Chessie I am really hoping it's not one sided. They are both such lovely players, it would be a shame for the spectators if it was an underwhelming final.
