Well, the 'comeback' was short lived- and I think it looks like Iga might just run away with this, if Ons doesn't find something .

Yes I think this could be a quick match, which is a real shame as it could have been a great contest. Fingers crossed for Ons.

Well, Iga has got the set and look like she means business. I must admit, Iga is so impressive when she plays like this - and she does it so often. Just blitzes the opposition.

But Ons could still turn it round.

At least the match has got more competitiive, and wasn't over in less than an hour, which it looked like it was going to be. It could even go to a 3rd set still...maybe.

Great win for Iga-Ons is so lovely, and it's great that she keeps getting to finals. Hopefully she will win the next one. It's nice to have a good 'rivalry' to get behind.

I’m on my annual stalking of Rafa holiday in Mallorca - I might actually make it to the Rafa museum this time Grin

In the supermarket there was a huge cardboard cutout of Alcaraz in front of loads of toilet rolls - looks like they’ve forgotten about Rafa already!

Not sure if I’ll be able to watch the men’s final as I don’t think we can watch Prime abroad now (the benefits of Brexit Hmm).

I couldn’t even listen to the R5 commentary of the women’s final last night - I think it could be a long match as well!

I think tonight should be a closer match. I hope so anyway. I have a feeling I won't see the end. I can't actually say who I think will win- Alcaraz will be the one that most will be expecting- but Ruud has been a finalist, and has every chance to win it. Carlos possibly has the edge , but I can't call it with the certainty that I could the Iga match.

I'm glad I decided to follow an unknown Norwegian player a few years back- looks like it was good call Grin

Fizzy I was in Corfu for the first few days of the US Open and couldn’t watch Prime. Very annoying.

Yes good call there with Casper Raahh - I know you’ve always been a fan Grin

I’m not sure about the final either - Ruud already has the experience of being in a GS final which I think is always an advantage but Carlos has such fighting spirit and produces some amazing shots (surely even he must run out of steam at some point though!)

I’m not sure what the toilet rolls meant - I think he was advertising something else but had just been placed in front of the toilet rolls Grin

I can't watch at the moment, but am delighted to see that Krejcikova and Siniakova are currently winning the women's doubles. I like Barbora a lot -and her RG win was not really as celebrated as other slam winners have been. This will be her 10th slam win (1 single, 6th doubles, 3 mixed,) if she wins- but she isn't really spoken about much is she?

Well done to them- the've won all 4 slams in doubles now. So pleased for them. They only missed RG because Barbora had Covid sadly.
