Currently rewatching Mindhunter. Absolutely brilliant show and I could watch it again and again
I can't believe it's been cancelled and we won't see a series 3 ☹️ apparently it costs too much to make, although I really can't see it costs that much especially with shows like stranger things which must cost millions!

Bit obscure but I really think they should've made more seasons of The Murder Game, a reality show back from the early 00s where the contestants had to solve a fictional homicide case for a cash prize. Absolutely gripping, really scary and hilarious at times - can't believe they didn't make more of it. You can at least find a shit VHS copy of all the episodes on YouTube.

Code Black. Loved that show, but no else seemed to watch it (probably who it was cancelled!)

Scorpion for ending clumsily on a downer. Ditto Merlin and to a certain extent Buffy.
The 100 for going a bit odd in the last two series. Should have wrapped up a nice ending before finding a new planet!

@poppetandmog What!! I didn't know they'd cancelled it.
I expected to hate it after reading the reviews and the comments on here, but I really enjoyed it. It got better and better towards the end of the series.

Gutted that Good Girls got cancelled. It ended on such a good scene and I would have loved to see that total change in dynamics between the characters.

I miss pushing daisies, Alcatraz, Grimm and flash forward.
There was also one about aliens secretly integrating a few years ago but I can't remember what it was called.

@MaudOfTheMarches rubicon - yes!! My dad and i loved it! Did you know it isn't anywhere to watch again? No dvd or streaming platform. DH is desperate to see what the fuss is about. There's lots of conspiracy theories online about why you cant watch it again 🤣

To the pp who said Colony, i actually really liked how Colony ended. Clearly it was being set up for a big 4th season but [SPOILER ALERT] the way it actually ended was so bleak. Kind of refreshing with big US shows.

@GuidingSpirit That's hilarious! I read at the time that it American audiences thought the plot was too complicated, which was kind of the point. I loved Miranda Richardson and Michael Cristofer.

Netflix did confirm second seasons of I am Not OK With This and The Society but then changed its mind at the last minute. It's frustrating. Given that Batgirl was filmed and ready to be released before they decided not to release it at all, there really aren't any guarantees these days. But, I still enjoy watching one-season wonders, just the cliff-hanger endings can be annoying. I really would have liked to have known how they planned to end The Society. It was an interesting story.

It wasn't cancelled but I really loved Season 3 of Fear the walking Dead and then they changed the show-runner and it went to shit. I would have loved a follow-up to season 3 with the same writers. It was really good.

Agree about Mindhunter, though I thought the director/writer was in talks for a third season at some point.

Ages ago, but Better Off Ted needed more seasons. One of the best comedy shows ever.

And very niche: Murder Call, an Aussie cop drama with really quirky characters, really needed more time.

@Nekomata So frustrating. There are definitely shows were one season works quite well but when they come to unexpected end it would be nice if there was a place were you could have read the writers intentions for the cancelled season.

Oh no, gutted to hear about Mindhunter, I really enjoyed it although I suppose it wouldn’t be everyone’s cup of tea.

Im still mourning the loss of G.L.O.W. That was fab, full of strong women (quite literally!) and the story wasn’t finished. Grr!
