Relieved for Matteo. He really does look out of sorts. Wonder how he'll manage against Andy.

I'm watching some Men's doubles. Michael Venus (the Kiwi) is wearing US-themed clothes, which is weird. And I think that the pairs should wear the same outfit.

I score watched a bit in the night. Seeds dropping like flies. Felix AA is out- another one I expected to do well.

Fernández is out ( though she's another who has been injured recently. Her drop in the rankings though will not be as dramatic as Emma's, since she's had a slightly better year over all( and not losing so many points).

Dick won. Gloss over that.

I've got this feeling we could end up with Dick and Serena as champions at this rate. Which would not be my dream scenario!

Great win for Jack Draper. Wasn't expecting that scoreline!

Definitely a good win for Jack- he's steadily rising up the rankings. Plays Khachanov next, and really there's no reason he can't win that. Karen has had an ok year, but quite a few unexpected early losses.

I was sad to see that Korda lost- but Tommy Paul is having a good run at the moment, so probably not that much of an upset.

Disappointing for Harriet Dart- another win would have put her in the British number 1 spot- she is currently just behind Emma in the live rankings, but will drop a bit over the next few weeks.

I have everything crossed for Rafa- no chance of watching it, though I will probably be awake to score watch at some point.
Iga plays Sloane Stephens first up- and if Sloane is playing well, that could be a difficult one, especially with the fans behind her (though it's first on Ashe, and the crowds have been thin on the ground, early doors).

I have just managed to sit down to watch Iga- but will probably have to go out in a bit.
This could be a difficult match- or Iga might just race ahead. She's 2-0 up .

Ugh. I hate football- dh had organisd a friendly for his girl's team. He has falledn off a ladder putting up the nets (dh is not a small man). He thinks he has broken a rib, and is lots of pain. Not so much pain he will come home and sort it though.
