Murray was 5-2 up against Cerundolo when i last looked- (although they both dropped their first service games). Cerundolo seems to have pulled it back on serve.

Seb Korda has just lost his first set . ADF and his odd socks, is well ahead in his match.

Just seen that Halep is having a bit of a topsy turvy match. Lost the first set, bagelled the second, but is 1-4 down in the 3rd. The US open hasn't really been great for her - she went through a few years of losing in the first/second round.

after a very valiant effort (and a second set that lasted nearly 1 hour and 20 minutes) he has retired injured. He seemed to be having problems at the start.

Moutet seems a bit rattled, considering he has just won.

Just seen that Stan’s match was a walkover - I assume he retired injured?

I’m just flicking through the matches - DH has just realised this is it for the next fortnight!

Thiem just lost the first set against PCB - it was heading towards a tiebreak but they had to replay a point due to a napkin blowing onto the court and he lost his serve!

Im just watching Elizabeth Mandlik - she’s Hana Manlikova’s daughter - I saw that Tracy Austin’s son qualified for the main draw as well

Well done to Andy - I was expecting his match to go to five sets and then for him to lose so pleased that he had a relatively easy win

The ball kids do look as if they’re wearing the South African flag - very strange!

I don’t usually see the matches on the outside courts at the us open so it’s quite interesting to see them compared to the huge grandstand courts

Ben Shelton’s match has just gone into a fifth set - I’ve not seen him play before - he’s quite lively

I liked Hana Mandlikova as well kazza - her daughter won her match - Bjorn Borg’s son also plays but so far not as successful as his dad!

I didn't get to see much after Stan retired- and I've just been catching the scores.
Dick sadly won- but the big news is thst Tsitsipas and Fritz are out. This really opens up that side of the draw( I was expecting a good run from both of them).
Talking of tennis off spring- Fritz was beaten by Tracy Austin's son Brandon ( who made it through qualifying).

I was surprised about Tsitsipas and Fritz losing last night especially Fritz - was expecting him to do well

The hype around Serena is already getting on my nerves (although I did like seeing Martina in the crowd in her sparkly shirt and a dog!) Can’t imagine Wimbledon ever allowing dogs!

Apparently Olympia was wearing a replica of her mum’s outfit - poor child - she is very cute though (and named her cat after Rafa)

Wish that Rafa’s match was on earlier - I dread the early morning score checking!

Fizzy Fritz looked very down during his press conference. Stef hasn't had much luck since before Wimbledon- (and by rights should have won his match against Dick).

I'm tored of the Serena stuff too- she seemed to get mentioned all the time yesterday- everytime I changed matched they were talking about her. It reminded me of last year and Djok's (failed) 21st slam attempt. She'll end up winning won't she ?
I knew she had a dog called Rafa (Full name Christopher 'Chip' Rafael Nadal )- didn't know about the cat! Nice to know she's a big fan.

I wish Rafa was on earlier- fingers crossed there are no more upsets.

I’ve seen a picture of Olympia and she looks really cute but I think that’s because the outfit is really meant for a four year old! At least they’re not talking about Djok when they’re talking about Serena which is a bit of a bonus!

I was also thinking maybe she could win the whole thing - stranger things have happened!

I'd love it if Serena had a whole menagerie of animals named after Rafa- might get confusing though. I think it is Korda who has a cat called Rafa.

Olympia is very cute- but the matching outfits always look odd- because yes, they are really outfits for someone under not a woman in her 40s.
