Oh yes Raahh it was about how Hubi had gone to the bathroom after the second set of every match as if he was doing something sinister. As you said he kept within the time restraints so I can't see why it was so noteworthy to merit endless chat. Got on my wick. Pick on the quiet ones

Great wins for PCB and also for Simona! I must admit I was cheering for Hubi after he did us all a massive favour and knocked out Krygios. It was starting to really wind me up how the commentators were talking about K as though he's beaten cancer or something. I can't be bothered with all the discussion about bathroom breaks. I think they were saying Hubi has taken a lot over the course of the tournament, but so what, if the rules allow he's perfectly entitled to take them.

I would have liked to have seen some of Dan or Jack's matches, but the matches in that side of the draw were too late for me (thanks to 3-yr old DS who insists on waking at 6am).

Hoping for some great matches in Cinci. Can't really get excited about Emma vs Serena. I get the impression Emma just wants NY to be over so she can go back to a more normal career trajectory.

I didn't get to see much of the women's tournament.

I'm really pleased for Simona (and PCB, obviously).

Jane the commentators got on my nerves how they went on about Dick and the bath room breaks. What would they say if he had had to stop play because someone in the crowd collapsed (as happens). Who would they be blaming then for Dick's loss?

He's probably going to start a twitter feud with Hubi now.

Had a bit of a look around the Cincy scores as can't watch at the moment- Karatsev might get one of his first wins in while, RBA lost the first set, but in charge in the second- and same story for Schwartzman- lost the first, ahead in the second.

I'm watching Diego. Can't think who's on commentary but one of them does my head in. I don't like her voice and she yabbers on and barely lets her colleague get a word in.

Wonder why Bublik withdrew? I'll miss him. He makes me laugh.

Molcan has a problem with his shoulder.

I've just switched on -I don't like the commentator on the Diego match either- with Anne (?). Molcan has a t-shirt that looks like a toddler drew on it with highlighter pens

And in my first 5 minutes of watching- BINGO- a discussion on time between serves.

The outfits are certainly more out there than they were in Montreal.

Diego's kit is a bit like pyjamas- Grigor would like it.
One or the other, Diego- splodgy short, or top- both is overkill.

Not a great crowd here either. Have Americans gone off tennis or something? It was packed in Canada.

Maybe Diego is trying that thing of wearing the same colour top and bottom to make you look taller?

I find this with the American tournaments- the early (time) matches are always really poorly attended, at least it looks that way as a viewer.

There have been complaints from poeople who bought tickets- and Serena's match has been put back til tomorrw. I never understand why people do that with a tennis tournament- there are no guarantees, before it starts, that you will get to see who you think you will see. Or what court they will be on. For all sorts of reasons- last minute injuries, covid (these days), rain delays that mean nothing gets played.

Yes they're getting Andy and Stan instead. I would be delighted!

As a very short person, I can categorically say that nothing makes you look taller. Not really. And things like ridiculous high heels have the opposite effect.

Poor Diego. I haven't heard any height comments though, whilst I've been watching. Maybe the outfit has stunned them. Or maybe it really does make him look taller.

Molcan is 5'10" so it doesn't seem such a big difference plus it's women commentating so they don't get the same kick out of saying "diminutive Diego" as the men I suppose.

The sofa-chair/ rug set up always makes me smile. I wonder if they take the rugs in and hoover them, or hoover them on court?

Jane very true- I always think the commentator (blokes) who make such a big deal of it always sound a bit insecure
