Quite neat timing for a new thread really.

Jane half the time, we can't understand what the coaches are saying- either due to language barriers, or just technical-ish stuff that they mumble between themselves. It's a bit like all the hand gestures in doubles. As spectators, we don't need to see/hear it- it means nothing to us or the players themselves probably

As a coach, my tip would be 'get it over the net, past the other bloke. In the lines'.

Which is why I'm just a spectator.

The commentators like the coaching ,because they are nosy, and think they are going to hear something interesting. It is very rarely the case.

Casperational maybe Robbie?

I don't think Dan's team bother with coaching. They just cheer him on.

I just love Robbie's enthusiasm for the sport though.

Jane I think encouragement from the stands and crowd support probably helps a lot of players more than a few 'should have hit it that way' words from the coach.

Have I missed something no change there Is coaching now allowed on the men's tour?

kazza it is. I don't like it- and it seems that the players don't seem to be making much use of it anyway, and that is irking Robbie a bit

But surely wandering off to the coach will just waste time. And they are always moaning about time delays.

Well, I have to say, this was not the match I was expecting ,but Casper has played very well. Not sure if the weight of expectation got to Felix, or something else.

I really think Felix isn't well today.

Jane something didn't seem quite right with Felix, you're right. I love watching him when he's playing well.

According to one source, Dan is due to play his doubles in 10 minutes or so and then his singles in about 30 minutes

Bloody stupid scheduling again, not helped by having a three hour gap between the 2nd and 3rd singles matches because of the stupid day and night schedules

Dan wrote on the camera HAVE 1 4 ME BOYS followed by some initials and the commentators couldn't work out what he meant. Honestly!
