Quite neat timing for a new thread really.

I couldn't believe it when I checked the results earlier - fantastic wins for both Dan and Jack! Did you decide to stay up and watch Dan's match Jane ? He's got* *Tayloragain in the next round! Plus a doubles match about an hour later
In fact, there's lots of Brits in the doubles!

Yes I stayed up watching. He played so well and was really enjoying it. Andrey did some racquet bashing and cut his knee and his knuckles but the racquet survived he was almost in tears with frustration at one point.

Oh dear Casper

I've been so tired this afternoon, and now I'm waking up a bit.

Casper really did take a very long time, but to be honest i getting very bored by the obsession with time and breaks. They care far less about the antics of golden boy Kyrgios, and his spitting and swearing- entertaining, that, isn't it? . Drives me nuts.

I do like both RBA and Ruud though - but Greg has now been going on about the 'bathroom break' for even longer than the break went on for so he really needs to get over it.

Oh- I think he just heard me 'let's talk about tennis rather than these breaks'

So, Dan did play his doubles and won that aswell! He must be knackered!
I think he's in the night session again tonight, after his next doubles match, which surely must be far from ideal
If Dan and Jack both win tonight, they'll play each other in the semis (they'll both lose now!!)

Still waiting for someone to wipe out Dick but I think I may be waiting in vain.

I see a couple of youngsters have been allowed to join the grown ups. Stef and Casper are in Team Europe at the Laver Cup.

I have read a bit about the Laver Cup selection- I think a lot of people were expecting Alcaraz to be in there- and obviously Daniil can't be, as it's in London. The remaining spots are based on rankings after RG, I think, and Carlos has gone ahead of Ruud since then- but wasn't at the time.

I am hoping Hubi can show Dick the door. I have no interest in him at all, and the commentators are nauseating how they fawn over him.

I've only just had chance to put Prime on- but see Hubi has taken the first set- come on Hubi!!

Robbie is worrying about how the orgainsers can afford to have the event simultaneously across two venues. It's ok, Robbie- I'm sure they are charging enough for tickets.

Unfortunately- having lost the first set, Dick looks like he is going to break Hubi at the start of the second .

well, maybe if the locker rooms weren't on the other side of the complex, as they seem to be at the Canada open- it wouldn't take them so long.
