dh and I do. the only place we have ever seen such perfection is in John Lewis. the whole lot, right down to the strategically placed child-related clutter, it's all John Lewis

Carmen I don't think he would be in it any more, I'm sure that's where I recognise him from though

carmenelectra · 18/01/2008 14:59

What's odd is that they are all supposed to be the same age?!! There was a school type photo of the four of them in the first episode which suggested that was how they met. How on earth is wonky hair supposed to be knocking 40?!!

carmenelectra · 18/01/2008 21:29

True. Shes probably not even 30.

hellymelly · 19/01/2008 23:24

Yes,wonky hair is 26 or roundabout,TWENTY years younger than Orla!Max Beasley is definately more chimp than chap, maybe they will visit Bristol zoo ,he could be in a cage with that bloke from the stone roses.I am really looking forward to this week's episode, even though this is how it will pan out- doc will shag boy and it will turn out that deddad put him up to it before he died.Orla will get preg and agonise over termination as she will think its office hottie spawn but it will in fact be chef's only sperm hitting the mark.doe eyed 9/11 millionairess will get a midnight visit from husband from beond the grave, while she is in bed with bodies bloke, and wonky hair will fall in lurve sweet lurve and get married.

SaveScrabulous · 19/01/2008 23:46

oh no helly you're probably so right there's no point watching it now!

Am also looking forward to this week's episode. How many episodes are there - anyone know?

carmenelectra · 20/01/2008 09:08

Think there are 6 episodes in total.

Agree re: MAX Beesley's chimpness. Defo. Think he has something about him though,(not my type personally)that women find attractive. Sort of Robbie Williams cheekiness(but without the looks to go with it). He looks like he would make women laugh in a 'Jack the lad' type of way.

I think the chef's cute-recognise him from other stuff, reminds me of (younger) Ringo Starr!

Jazzicatz · 23/01/2008 11:46

Just loving this series!!!!!!!!

I watched an episode of this and thought it was CACK. It was the where Orla B's hubby finds that its HIS problem that they cant have kids and he goes all macho and distant on her - BIG WAVY ARMS SIGNPOST that she's going to be tempted back to the arms of Gorgeous and Available Office Colleague.

It all seemed a bit, well predictable to me. And normally I LOVE this kind of fluff. I used to devour Jilly Cooper novels fgs!

It seemed more like something you'd find on ITV. High glamour, low intellect, high libido, low morals (but looking suitably angst-ridden before the deed and gloriously tousled after)
Is it the writing? Cos these are good actresses.

Maybe I've watching too much HBO. Has it got better since? Felt the same about "Secret Diary of a Call Girl".
