dh and I do. the only place we have ever seen such perfection is in John Lewis. the whole lot, right down to the strategically placed child-related clutter, it's all John Lewis

God if my daughter (well I don't have one but if I did....) told me I looked like Posh Spice I'd withdraw pocket money for several weeks!

bundle · 17/01/2008 11:40

bodies! of course THAT'S where i've seen him. he was smarmy in that too.

the bi-curious one was in something on tv last night, but can't remember what...

DaDaDa · 17/01/2008 11:42

But then it will turn out to have been her husbands all along, when the baby is born holding a spatula and waering chefs whites.

DaDaDa · 17/01/2008 11:45

And 9/11 husband will turn out to have been paddling back from Panama in his canoe for the last 7 years.

bundle · 17/01/2008 11:45

hatwoman maybe he's renting in panama

bundle · 17/01/2008 11:46

xpost with dadada!

SaveScrabulous · 17/01/2008 11:48

lol bundle and hatwoman.

Actually if they go down the baby being white so not the chef's route I will get v annoyed as ds is half Asian and looks 'white' (as do the majority of the 'half asian' babies I know) so that would be a stupid storyline.

beansprout · 17/01/2008 11:54

Maybe that is why the compensation has taken so long to come through - missing but no proof of death so after a certain amount of time has elapsed, she then receives it?

SaveScrabulous · 17/01/2008 12:02

yes that would surely be why - she said they never found a body in the first episode I think.

beansprout · 17/01/2008 12:02

She spent years still thinking he might be alive I think.

SaveScrabulous · 17/01/2008 12:04

That would be so awful.

Going back to the trivial....she so did NOT look anything like Posh Spice.

And as someone else said they should have got a takeaway at Office Man's house.

SaveScrabulous · 17/01/2008 12:04

OOh and I want to know why his wife left him suddenly....

DaDaDa · 17/01/2008 12:09

Because he is a beast. Half man, half gorilla.

beansprout · 17/01/2008 12:24

I quite like him, he is better than the Jude Law reject that the GP is about to ahag.

bundle · 17/01/2008 12:27

scrabulous, she left him cos she found out he was in bodies! (coudl we have max beesley in mistresses? now THAT would excite me!)

bundle · 17/01/2008 12:28

oh just remembered where the bi-curious one was last night - i changed channels and caught a bit of Palace (?) the itv thing about an imaginary royal family. she was flirting big time with the new king - prob about to shag him on his throne. do i sense a theme here...

beansprout · 17/01/2008 12:31

She is typecast as totty at the moment. Not great.

Max B - noooo! He looks like a chimp!!

DaDaDa · 17/01/2008 12:41

She's rather gorgeous though. When she was trying on that frock DW said 'She has absolutely no boobs'.

I just thought 'And your point is....'

beansprout · 17/01/2008 12:43

And a wonky hair cut. And no boobs.

DaDaDa · 17/01/2008 12:46

She can always tell when I'm going to fancy someone on the telly. There's usually a perceptible frostiness then a catty remark to follow.

I think she's also feeling shortchanged by the male totty in this.

bundle · 17/01/2008 12:52

men are sort of incidental in Mistresses, a bit like on the Archers

hatwoman · 17/01/2008 12:55

I hadn't realised trying to get preg man was a chef. these things are so formulaic. professionals or creatives - preferably a mix of both. they never make them about accountants or insurance under-writers (who are, of course professionals but ones with a bit of an image problem)

OP posts:
beansprout · 17/01/2008 12:55

They are incidental in that there isn't much totty but we don't then end up with a load of strong female characters either. That said, that isn't really the point, is it?!

DaDaDa · 17/01/2008 12:59

men are sort of incidental in Mistresses life.
