I'll delete this if someone else has got one going.

Agree with that outcome @Arashi . There is something about Danica I just can’t warm to. I said to DD tonight, she is particularly unsexy for an objectively pretty young woman, I can understand why none of the men are going for her. I can’t put my finger on what it is she’s missing but it’s definitely something. Whereas Antigone, she has a v muscular body and a deep voice but oozes sex appeal and I can see why men would be attracted to her.

whimsicalwillow · 29/06/2022 23:30

Indiyah and Dami seem the only genuine couple and nice people too. I hope they win.
This series seems the most contrived and dull as ditchwater. No drama which to be honest is what most of us want to see. I hope Casa Amor is soon to liven things up.

outshinethemorningsun · 29/06/2022 23:31

Ah just seen others have said the same!

I think bottom 3 will be:

jay and danica
Charlie and Antigone
tasha and Andrew

and Charlie and danica will be sent home by the others

but going by Twitter viewers are tired of Tasha and Andrew and want them out so I hope they just let the public actually decide rather than completely manipulating it to get the result the producers inexplicably want

Scabbyknackers · 29/06/2022 23:58

Finally watching tonight's episode. Still feeling for Danica but she doesn't seem to accept a 'no' as final and it comes across quite pushy.

Has there been any hint of romance between davide and antigoni then? I've seen nothing but he has just implied there was!

Andrew is really sweet!

Zampa · 29/06/2022 23:59

I missed tonight's episode (would have voted for Indiyah and Dami) and hopped on to see what you were saying about Paige's mean girl act (clip on twitter) but I can't see any mention.

Telling Indiyah and Danica to leave the 4 girls alone was such a bullying by isolation move. Maybe she's more like Jacques than we know?

Did I miss the context?

I was only half paying attention but it was immediately after the recoupling, and I think it was because Antigone needed a chat. 4 of them were chatting, and Indiyah and Danica came to join them. Paige asked if they'd give them 5 mins.

EddieHowesBlackandWhiteArmy · 30/06/2022 00:07

I thought it was fair enough by Paige, Antigone was pissed off with Danica and wanted to vent so Paige just asked them to give them 5 minutes. Danica seems to have absolutely no self awareness.

Jay had been as clear as possible with Danica that he was interested in Antigoni, not her and she was too young for him. He let Antigoni know that. Danica picked him anyway and Antigoni needed a vent. I think Paige sent indiyah and Danica away so that it didn't end up in a row. I think it was diffusion, rather than excluding them.

BiscoffSundae · 30/06/2022 00:18

I had to go and check Danicas age as I thought she was older so had to check what jay was going on about (thought she was 26 for some reason!) I do think jay was clear but at the end he did say you have to do what you have to do so to me he did leave it a bit open but I feel for her as she’s had a rough time and sorry Charlie is just not attractive I can see why she didn’t want to pick him, can’t believe he is considered a “bombshell”, it feels ages since they sent someone new in.

I'm about 15 mins behind so at the danica and jaye chat......I feel sorry for her a bit, why does no-one seem to like her!

Perhaps they see and are tired of the loud, bull in a china shop approach she brings everywhere with her. I find her irritating and tiresome, she must be annoying to live with.

I'm not sure what Antigone's problem is. She was most interested in Davide, then Jay and last of all Charlie. Saying ES should have informed her she was interested in Davide was out of order because she herself didn't approach ES to say she was interested in him.

The person I felt most for was Jay who is coming across as an extremely nice guy and also Charlie who the girls are practically holding their noses walking past. I would be incredibly uncomfortable if I was treated like that to the point I'd just feign illness and leave.
I hope ES and Davide get together, they are equally great contestants.

Scabbyknackers · 30/06/2022 00:24

I can actually see ES and Davide growing old together, still bickering constantly but not wanting to change anything!

UrbanCoyote · 30/06/2022 07:08

Danica is very attractive but has a blue peter/youth worker manner about her which is not sexy/cool. She would make a great friend and would be able to run a summer camp or ski school fantastically. It is the wrong show for her.

UrbanCoyote · 30/06/2022 07:27

This season's contestants lack some of the kindness of previous seasons I think. There is a definitive 'clique' largely led by Luca and Jacques. In previous seasons the ones that didn't fit the usual mould - always seemed to take under a wing, sort of embraced and celebrated in a way. Like Alex etc.

Must be awful to be on the outside in there, soul destroying.

Anyfeckinusername · 30/06/2022 07:33

Total respect for Antigone now. She has a moral compass / she whisker do to the girls what was done to her and she accepted that difference.

danica is just blind and deaf. If she didn’t pick up the NOT INTERESTED message from Jay … I mean what more could the fella have said 🤷‍♀️

MuddlerInLaw · 30/06/2022 07:41

How does the filming work? Is it all CCTV or are there camera people with them on-site all the time?

It’s hard to imagine what the atmosphere must be in the villa - whether the contestants feel constantly observed or not. Some of them seem to constantly look for a camera, but others are behaving as if it’s a private space.

I ask because if there are unseen people there all the time (producers, camera people) then the contestants’ day to day experience must be wholly different to what we see. And their relationships with other contestants might not feel like what we see.

Picoloangel · 30/06/2022 07:50

Bookmarking for later 😬

Picoloangel · 30/06/2022 07:54

I saw something yesterday from
a former contestant which suggested that there is fairly frequent contact with the crew so not just CCTV. They are helped to write/told what to say in the recouping speeches and not slowed to go to the loo with anyone as can take their mikes off.

Danica - I don’t dislike her but Jay was perfectly clear. Short of being really rude and personal he couldn’t have been more clear.

Am I the only one who doesn’t really care for ES?

marmiteadict · 30/06/2022 08:23

In interviews past contestants have said there is a lot of contact with the production crew.

Apparently they are frequently told off by loud speaker during the day and there is a sit down meal at 7pm where there are briefings and individual rollockings.

Scabbyknackers · 30/06/2022 08:24

Yeah, short of saying 'DO NOT PICK ME', when he can't stop her anyway, Jay couldn't have been any clearer than he was.

The girls' reaction to Charlie when dancing wasn't nice. Seems he is viewed as a bit of lame duck. Not a nice position but he does look much older and was quite snidey to ES. I agree that there's a cliquey vibe this year. Dami, Indiyah, Antigoni and Paige seem the main voices of reason.

Tillsforthrills · 30/06/2022 08:27

Danica is far too pushy. When she came into the villa she expected the boys to be falling over her.

Antigone was annoyed because Jay made it clear he wanted to pursue Antigone and why waste this opportunity to do so. Danica has no common sense or altruism. All she heard from what Jay said to her was ‘you do you’ and ran with that so she could feign her ‘confusion’.

Whenever Danica gets told no by a guy, she really tries to push them and go against that - if that were a man doing that he’d be slated for it.

The right thing to do was pick Charlie and bide her time.

BiscoffSundae · 30/06/2022 08:32

Probably thought she would get kicked off if she picks Charlie but tbh I see that happening either way, really not sure on this year the bomb shells no one seems to fancy (Charlie, danica, Antigoni... jay only showed interest at the re coupling) and they just get kicked off as soon as they’ve walked in

Midlifemusings · 30/06/2022 08:43

I don't get the love for Danica, imagine if Jacques did what she did and first chose a woman in a solid couple and then deliberately chose a woman who had clearly said she wasn't interested and then pretended they misunderstood. He would be called the Son of Satan!

It is a small pool of people - she and Charlie haven't clicked with anyone. That is reality. Half the show is just about staying on the show for more airtime - relationships come second. People need storylines to get airtimes and Danica and Charlie just don't have one. It is a TV show, it isn't that anyone deserves anything. They came in and got a kick at the can and now they are on their way out. That is reality tv!

Newpuppymummy · 30/06/2022 08:43

Jacques, Davide and ES were bombshells though.

marmiteadict · 30/06/2022 08:48

I think both Danica and Antigoni knew whoever ended up with Charlie was likely to get the boot. Jay was the safer bet

If the producers want Danica out rather than Antigoni they'll go for the bottom two or three couples and get the islanders to choose a girl and boy from each.
