Sewing Bee - all the buzz, none of the sting!

A thread for discussion of Sewing Bee with no criticism of the contestants' personalities, mannerisms, or looks - just their sewing and designs, please.

Who's everybody's favourite for the win? I think Brogan's going to get it, but I'd be happy for any of them to win.

Love the end round up of. Wes ❤️❤️❤️❤️

SwedishEdith · 29/06/2022 21:58

How old is Brogan?

cottagegardenflower · 29/06/2022 21:58

News even

InternetRandom · 29/06/2022 21:58

I also thought Man Yee should have nudged it overall. Last challenge velocity for Annie.

dillite · 29/06/2022 21:58

Awww. Look at them all getting shagging on their return from the bee.

Piggywaspushed · 29/06/2022 21:58

Aphrodisiac Sewing Bee!

OnlyTheBravest · 29/06/2022 21:59

Loved this season of Sewing Bee. Really talented contestants and congrats to Annie for the win.

FitYeDaeinYeMadRadge · 29/06/2022 21:59

@dillite 😂

Binglebong · 29/06/2022 22:00

I think part of the problem is they were sewing for their friends instead of the red carpet brief. Annie's was red carpet although to me the fit looked wrong. When you're that size you need a couple of little straps (sadly I know) and the top dropping but the crotch a bit droopy.

dillite · 29/06/2022 22:00

What am I going to be doing with my Wednesday nights now?

viques · 29/06/2022 22:01

Sewing BBabies! Must be something in that tea. What a lovely set of competitors , Annie really came into her own in thefinal but given a following wind anyone of them could have won.

Straps or proper corset boning, not just a few plastic strips.

Maireas · 29/06/2022 22:02

I thought Annie looked pregnant.

MrsOwainGlyndŵr · 29/06/2022 22:03

Deborah should have one IMO, and Man Yi second.
Annie's was lovely, but her model was big busted and I don't think the boned top half came up high enough.
Brogan's was a play suit, not a jump suit.

I don't think I'd survive past about 9pm in Esme's 80s!

I reckon an Esme night out could give most of us a run for our money in 2022!

Indiaorigin · 29/06/2022 22:05

Going to miss sewing bee. A great programme.

mintiegreen · 29/06/2022 22:06

So so pleased with the result !

Frenchfancy · 29/06/2022 22:06

Annie deserved to win. Man Yee's proportions were somehow a little off. Annie has great eye for style. Though perhaps Deborah was the better seamstress. The lycra dress she sewed was very difficult but she did it perfectly.

ArmWrestlingWithChasNDave · 29/06/2022 22:08

Go Annie! I think any one of her, Debra, or Man Yee would have been deserving winners. Brogan had another bad week but it looked like she had fun.

I've found this series really inspiring. Some really beautiful, wearable things have been made.

Cuck00soup · 29/06/2022 22:10

I think this has been a vintage series. The quality of contestants in the second half of the pack has been really good. It's been a pleasure to watch.

Calmdown14 · 29/06/2022 22:14

Debra sewed the three most technically accurate garments. Every one was neat as a pin but she missed the brief on the red carpet and the transformation wasn't that inspiring (from the front anyway)

Man Yee's made to measure lacked drama for me. Somehow not quite structured enough.

Annie's didn't suit her model but really hit the brief and I guess nearly popping out of your outfit is very red carpet!
If you take it over the last three weeks she was definitely a worthy winner.

Seemed the most creative in her design and is great on camera so I think she'll have a good career.

SoupDragon · 29/06/2022 22:18

I thought it was between Man Yee and Annie. Either would have been worthy winners but I think Man Yee should have won by a whisker. I'm not disappointed though.

i thought the top on Annie's jumpsuit was too low for her model's magnificent bosom! I kept thinking she would fall out of it. Even just a more pointed shape to the top line would have made it look less risky.
