Yes someone start one please.

I thought it was cringey and sycophantic but then I’m a republican.

Why did you watch it then?

The highlights for me were Diversity, Elbow, Andrea Bocelli, Alicia Keys and Diana Ross.

I loved Stephen Fry's speech.

Benjispruce4 · 05/06/2022 14:30

I didn’t plan to watch it @RampantIvy but caught a bit of Duran Duran for my 13 year old self. The rest of the acts are not my cup of tea and the messages were so cringey and sycophantic, so DH and I had to turn off.

HonorHiding · 05/06/2022 14:36

The highlight for me was the outstanding visual effects - credit to Tom Bairstow and team. It was an extraordinary spectacle.

Benjispruce4 · 05/06/2022 16:00

I might add @RampantIvy that i have Covid so wasn’t out mixing. Have to see it’s been a platinum jubilee wipe out on TV and radio so very hard to escape.

RampantIvy · 05/06/2022 16:27

I hope you felt better soon @Benjispruce4. I have a fondness for the Queen because she has always been there if you know what I mean. Not so sure about the rest of the royal family. I'm sure things will change once the queen goes.

The visual effects were indeed stunning @HonorHiding

Benjispruce4 · 05/06/2022 17:10

Thank you, just tested negative 🤗.
I've nothing against Queenie, she’s done the job she committed to do. I just think it’s time to move on after she’s gone.
