The guardian live blog was hysterical!

It's always worth reading the Guardian Liveblog when live events are on... always a good read.

Nothappyatwork · 04/06/2022 21:39

Camilla looks absolutely knackered bless her

LOL. Knackered with what? She has hardly worked a day in her life. Same as all she Royals.Attending a few events isn't work.

the80sweregreat · 04/06/2022 22:52

Paddington Bear though!
Absolute legend.

But at least there was no Gary Barlow this time, small mercies and all that!

nor Cheryl [insert random surname here]

ShirleyJackson · 04/06/2022 22:52

City of London are MASSIVELY strict about live gigs ending on time. I was once at a Springsteen gig in Hyde Park. Macca joined him on stage, and the venue literally pulled the plug out mid-song.

So maybe that was it.

the80sweregreat · 04/06/2022 22:54

Even the Queen can't round council regs , drones or no drones

TarpaulinEyes · 04/06/2022 22:54

Shudders at the thought of Macca

Sparklingbrook · 04/06/2022 22:25

I'd prefer Liam Gallagher to this.

That's going too far

jubileetrain · 04/06/2022 22:55

Diana Ross miming was an embarrassment.

the80sweregreat · 04/06/2022 22:55

Epic night
Guardian funny blog
You lot
And Paddington bear
Made one old girl very happy 😃
!!

Flapjacker48 · 04/06/2022 22:55

@ShirleyJackson what has the city of London got to do with tonight? Buck house isn't in the square mile. The Hyde park thing is due to the royal parks rules which is a government agency of the department of culture media and sport.

Are you sure that was the council? The Hyde Park concerts often go over (we can hear the really loud ones). The folks on Park Lane were going mad last time there was concerts all summer.

The Royal Parks are a charity now actually

ShirleyJackson · 04/06/2022 22:58

Gawd knows, I’m from oop North 😂

Was just musing.

Fizbosshoes · 04/06/2022 22:59

I didn't think Buck palace or Hyde Park were within the city of London boundary?

Sparklingbrook · 04/06/2022 23:00

KatherineJaneway · 04/06/2022 22:55

I know-that's how bad it was . Grin

AlecTrevelyan006 · 04/06/2022 23:00

Rolf Harris (!!!)
Tom Jones
Shirley Bassey
Kylie Minogue
Elton John
Stevie Wonder
Madness
Paul McCartney

Nope we’re in Westminster.

flowerycurtain · 04/06/2022 23:05

@AlecTrevelyan006 thats interesting. Although I loved tonight I think they could have had more and better British acts.

Flapjacker48 · 04/06/2022 23:06

@TarpaulinEyes bylaws relating to the royal parks are still the responsibility of the SOS of culture media and sport. All signs relating to enforcement stuff in the parks tell you this "by order of the secretary of state"

Antarcticant · 04/06/2022 23:08

Madness with 'It must be love' would have made a great finale.

JesusMaryAndJosephAndTheWeeDon · 04/06/2022 23:12

Wondering what the message is supposed to be putting The Darkest Hour on afterwards

CPL593H · 04/06/2022 23:14

I didn't see all of it and may be being unfair, but I thought the line up was absolute crap. I almost (almost) think Macca doing Hey Jude would have been preferable.
