Very abrupt! I wonder if there are fireworks there but we didn’t get to see it on the tv as the BBC decided not to show it for some reason.

The News straight after came from the scene and people you could see in the background just seemed to be leaving as you'd expect.

I work in live entertainment telly. Done some of the biggest, most high profile, stressful shows. There’s not a channel / head of scheduling in the country that wouldn’t have given more time to the programme tonight. No way would they have purposely cut Diana Ross short for the news. Something went wrong.

Interesting. I did think that they usually just shuffle all the other programmes for something like this.
I hope that everything is ok.

This event did end really abruptly. So many good singers they could have gotten instead of who they did get. 2012 was better.

Diana was great, just not right for the finale and not helped by the sound mixing being poor. I'd have put Diana in between Will's environmental spiel and Charles and brought Queen back for the finale with a proper singalong type song such as We are the Champions.
