On the women's side, I have wanted Iga to win fromthe start, and still do. I think Coco looked good today.

Would rather Rafa won the tournament than Novak, but would rather anyone in the bottom half won than Rafa because it's more interesting like that!

Completely unrelated to tennis, my favourite ever Answer Smash was the one where the answer was "Vladamir Putinkerbell" - so fun to say!!

Djok is not a credit to the sport, John.
He may go down in history as the best, by virtue of things he has won, but he's not a credit to the sport.

Oh no I like to have some consistency. The womens was very inconsistent for a few years and it was off putting to me. I like to know who I'm dealing with!

If he has to lose, I hope it's a good fight, and not a one sided thing.

Jane I'm the same. I loved the Steffi era, I knew all the women during the Steffi era.
Serena aside (and she's not won anything ig for 5 years), the women now are so inconsistent. I though Osaka would change that. But she's fragile. And Barty retired. I love Halep- but again, not consistent.

I'm pinning my hopes on Swiatek.

Jane Chrissie's clay records are not mentioned nearly enough, either. Before Rafa came along- she was the God of Clay.

Disappointing as it was that Wimbledon wasn't on in 2020, I dod enjoy watching the old matches. The Chrissie/Martina rivalry was great.

And talking of Stefi , and rivalry- Gabriela Sabatini was playing a women's legends match today, and won. I thought she was beautiful when I was younger. She's only a couple of years older than me though.

The length of this first game does not bode well for whether I last to the end.

But it's positive that Rafa has pushed Djok in the first game.

Oh yes Gabriela was gorgeous and still looks great. I was never a Steffi fan.

Oh, I loved Stefi. I really wish she'd broken the Margaret Court slam record, but she got injured, and then retired quite early.

I would never have put her and Andre together. I was reading an article again today, about how it was basically his wig that caused him to lose the 1990 RG final.
