The woman this week is annoying me already.

"I don't know why my children snack so much!"

Because you buy the stuff, and have cupboards full of the stuff, and don't control their access to it, you daft mare.

Exactly what I said to my DH!!

JimMorrisonsleathertrousers · 27/05/2022 08:35

I did feel sorry for her with those fish finger cake things. She was making them and saying how pleased she was with them, then the kids just rejected them. I think we've all been there.

newnamethanks · 27/05/2022 09:16

Those fish fingers looked abysmal. I bet she didn't eat them herself.

Blondeshavemorefun · 27/05/2022 17:12

Haven’t read replies. I can’t get this on iPlayer. Grrr

I felt like this week’s family were more in need for Supernanny than Eat Well For Less. £7k a year just pissed up the wall, mostly on crisps!

Fluffycloudland77 · 28/05/2022 10:45

I liked Gregg, he was genuinely passionate about cooking.

ForAFriend123 · 30/05/2022 21:09

Can't stop looking at Jordan's teeth/veneers!
Mesmerising Grin

jay55 · 09/06/2022 20:12

Another family that have been through the mill this week. Mum has died and grandma has stepped in.

They have so many crisps.

JustDanceAddict · 09/06/2022 20:14

Granny is a young, glam gran!

jay55 · 09/06/2022 20:15

Yes she is!

I can't see there's much wrong with one kid only liking apples for fruit. They're at least a cheap fruit.

. DS just came in and said ‘plastic surgery’ 😆
not sure they’ll like tofu

GreatCuppa · 09/06/2022 20:37

Can’t work out how old Granny is!

woodhill · 09/06/2022 20:40

Where is her apron

That lovely impractical dress

jay55 · 09/06/2022 20:44

Gluten free bread in the same pan as the regular, total cross contamination.

wonderstuff · 09/06/2022 20:54

That's a lot of surgery. Not judging her, judging the society that has driven her to do that to herself.

Playplayaway · 09/06/2022 20:58

Gosh they've had a difficult time losing mummy/daughter after a long illness. Gorgeous happy kids - mummy granny is obviously doing an amazing job with them.
Love her dresses.

CuteOrangeElephant · 09/06/2022 21:13

I love her dresses too! I wonder if they are homemade because in one scene she had a matching mask.

jay55 · 09/06/2022 21:16

I liked the dresses too.

The kids were mostly good about it all. Totally understand the lad not fancying the stir fry. It's a lot of in your face veg. The pasta meals made a lot more sense for getting veg into him.

Agree - and then it’s so obvious and looks odd.
I winder if she did it to look younger for the kids. I reckon she’s mid-50s.

Wafflehouse · 09/06/2022 22:16

That must’ve been so hard for the woman on tonight’s episode, not only losing her daughter but being at the point of having adult children and thinking you’re done parenting young children and being thrown back in there again. I can’t imagine how tough that must be, but they all seemed to have a lovely relationship.

I’m really liking the new format, the focus on saving money is still there but there’s definitely a bigger focus on the eating well bit. The choice of families this series is much better too, the hysterical laughing and ‘aren’t we silly wasting this much money’ from previous series’ was getting unbearable, it’s much more relatable now.

Punkypinky · 09/06/2022 22:30

I missed the start didn't realise that was Nan. What a hero stepping in to look after the kids. How sad they lost their mum. Both seemed lovely kids though and doing well.

Yes the new format is better and I might try and see if I can get my daughter doing veggie nuggets.

DillonPanthersTexas · 10/06/2022 07:40

Not entirely sure that the 'eat for less' aspect of this episode is of much concern to this family with their show home kitchen and Merc in the drive. The glamgran had more dress changes then a Kylie concert, I think she was happy at the end l, it was hard to tell to through the fillers.

Blondeshavemorefun · 10/06/2022 09:30

Right in back. Just watching last weeks of the snackers

omg. That pantry and how many crisps

i love crisps but not that many

they are buying without knowing what they have at home

could run their own shop with that pantry 😂😂

Blondeshavemorefun · 10/06/2022 10:40

Wow. Such fussy kids and yes if they snack on biscuits and crisps uou buy then . They won’t want a meal

they liked the pizza 😂😂

I’ve made egg veg fries rice before. Tho also added chicken and prawns

youngest isn’t impressed with much

tho mums face with the coke and cheese

3 meals a day with a snack am and pm isn’t bad but constant snacking is madness

I think the fact she was always described as “avoiding” lactose and gluten and was going through lots of Dairy Milk suggests it was an intolerance or choice rather than an allergy so perhaps she’s less worried about cross-contamination than other people might be.
