This wouldn’t normally be my “thing”, but I loved it. I missed the first hour, so I joined just before Gregory Porter (what a voice!).
LOVED all the horse displays - the French were great. What amazes me is not just the control of directing your horse with only one hand (and legs). But the holding aloft a flag etc with the other arm. I’d struggle holding my arm at that angle, just holding my tv remote, for more than a couple of minutes - let alone guiding a four-legged beast at the same time!
Really enjoyed all of the dancing. I’ve got two left feet and no sense of rhythm, so I always appreciate dancing that looks both effortless and completely joyous.
The display of all the horses was great. I love those glimpses of the queen when her face just lights up. Must have been very poignant with the carriage-driving.
The drumming and the drum-off was stunning. And sounds like they didn’t have long to put it together.
With this, plus Eurovision, what a weekend 🇬🇧
