I think when it finishes I might watch it all again - apart from the Vietnam episodes which failed to engage me for some reason.

drwitch · 16/05/2022 18:14

Does anyone think there may be two deathbed scenes? (Like the two weddings)

Google told me this

This is not accurate as we do know where it is. It's in the Poconos. I can't remember which episode they say it but I remember distinctly.

I heard that. What were the two weddings again?

MinglingFlamingo · 17/05/2022 22:19

Didn't they get the cabin from a work mate of Jack's. There was an episode because Kevin was stroppy because he was at camp for the first day of the trip there. And Kate and Jack went and got ice cream

Hels20 · 17/05/2022 22:36

@drwitch - weren’t the 2 weddings - Kevin pulling out of his wedding to Madison and then the flash forward to Kate and Philip’s wedding?

Kevinpearsonfan · 18/05/2022 04:39

I’ve just seen the penultimate episode. Amazing. #Thetrain

RedMake88 · 18/05/2022 07:48

Oh could we have no spoilers please!!! Not shown in the UK til Thursday!

Wasn't it Madison who cancelled the wedding as she realised that Kevin didn't love her?

Yes, she did. She asked Kevin if he loved her and he skirted around the question and couldn’t say that he did so she called off the wedding.

I have itchy fingers trying not to Google episode recaps for latest episode.

everylittlehelp5 · 18/05/2022 10:17

I'm not sure I'll be able to cope with this weeks episode. I've got a parent pretty ill in hospital at the moment.

Netaporter · 18/05/2022 11:17

Big hugs @everylittlehelp5 I just lost my Dad. I found controlled crying at TIU quite cathartic and a good release for having to hold it together in hospital.

@kimwexlerfan don’t do it 😂

@Kevinpearsonfan tomorrow after 10am when it has appeared on prime and Disney in the UK is fair game but deffo no spoilers please!!

MadisonAvenue · 18/05/2022 12:50

I was thinking the same. My parents are in their late 80s and my Mom in particular is really frail now, up until the pandemic she was an active lady who didn’t look her age and now she’s in pain, falls frequently, is getting around very slowly with a frame and is housebound.

I’ve already been struggling with recent episodes, showing Rebecca at various stages of her life and it’s sort of hit home that time passes so quickly and before long I’m going to be old (I’m early 50s).

Kevinpearsonfan · 18/05/2022 12:52

No spoilers, I promise. “Amazing” was my opinion but it might not be yours and The Train is the name of the episode.

Everyone I know watching TIU has said something similar. I think it’s being used as a cathartic crying session by so many, both for the parent reverting to having childcare style needs and for the flashbacks to parenting young children, showing how quickly life moves on and how your relationship with your children alters. Season one was basically a crying fest, it went off the boil a couple of seasons back, but this one is pulling out all the emotions.

I really hope they wrap it up well and give the Pearsons a decent spot in show ending history! (Anyone else watch and invest viewing time in Parenthood- a similar show for family dynamics- it ended with a flash forward…please no to that for TIU).

Netaporter · 18/05/2022 15:00

Avoid the side bar of shite on the daily Mail website. I nearly read a spoiler 😱

Amazing definitely not my opinion. I was really disappointed by something in it but will discuss tomorrow.

JustDanceAddict · 18/05/2022 18:23

I shall avoid SM until I watch later tmw night!
The passage of time theme is so poignant. I can’t quite believe I’m nearly 51! It’s more the thought of 20 years til 70 and I remember being 30 so clearly - was pregnant for most of that age 😆

Netaporter · 18/05/2022 18:28

FFS just saw something on Mandy Moore’s Instagram 😡 although I was secretly pleased that my prediction was in a very small part, true 😉

Orpheline · 18/05/2022 19:10

I went onto Wordle in boredom

Lizlou85 · 18/05/2022 19:39

Looking forward to tomorrow night's episode but currently and DH and I have sworn not to to watch it until Friday night together.
