Last thread only had few messages to go so made a new one all ready for the last ever 3 Episodes 🥲🥲🥲

@neveradullmoment99 What I didn't get was the weird message at the end. That somehow she would be a part of the big three. No idea what that was all about since she is dead.

Rebecca will always be a part of the big 3 as they take their memories of her with them wherever they are in their lives.

@OhSister yes... it should have been Kyle in the caboose. Then it would have been perfect.

I loved it all - thought the final 2 episodes were perfect.

I understand what you're all saying about Kyle, however to me the train wasn't her going to heaven and therefore meeting the baby she loved but rather memories / dreams she was having as she lay dying. Sadly she'd no memories of Kyle so he didn't feature and similarly with Miguel, he was only a small part in her Pre-Alzheimer's memories. Her focus was Jack and her living children.

I didn't understand Kevin, Kate and Toby referring to the new big 3 however as surely Kate and Kevin have 4 kids between them - Kevin's twins and Kate has Jack and Hailey? I've only just realised that Randall had his own big 3 completed when deja joined his family!

I thought that Marcus was a nice touch and also that the drugs he developed was the Alzheimer's drug trial that Randall got Rebecca on to a few seasons ago.

Maybe, but they still have 4 kids between them, so only referring to the big 3 leaves one out (especially as the age gap is small between Jack and the others!).

It's not the fact that Kyle wasn't on the train that bothers me, it's the fact he was never mentioned at all in the entire show. No small tear shed on the birthdays, no visits to a grave, no chats to the 2/3 about the brother they lost etc. Didn't need to be a huge feature, but a few seconds spared for him every so often would have felt more natural rather than just completely ignoring him. I do appreciate though that families will all grieve in their own way.

They mentioned him when Rebecca visited William and when Kate had a miscarriage but yy I agree you would expect him to have been mentioned more. Maybe they left him off the train because they didn't want to prompt any kind of discussion about when does an unborn child become a baby in light of the US' current abortion debates. Either that or they didn't have a single person in the writers' room with the experience of losing a child.
