I think that it is understandable with Kate that it has affected her whole life due to her feelings of guilt. I really don't know how Beth puts up with it all.

Sorry for the loss of your father, @HerbErtlinger and your parents, @RoyKentsChestHair . I think the Pearson's family life is necessarily over-dramatised to make good telly isn't it? Lots of things in it are unlikely (the whole adopting a baby just after one of yours has died slightly jumps the shark right at the beginning!)

And yet, it gets in so many moments which resonate, doesn't it? Some of the sibling stuff in the earlier episodes was very wise and poignant.

I live in hope they will do a reunion show, where the deceased all meet in the afterlife and have it out!

I thought he might die before her as he's never featured in any of the flash forwards about Rebecca's final hours at the cabin. Still wasn't prepared for it though.

We know Kate is still alive in the cabin scenes as we have seen her in a flash even further forwards at adult son Jack's gig.

@Shmithecat2 of course it was Nicky by her bedside with ancient Rebecca wasn't it. Wonder if she sees him as Jack towards the end.

@Lurleene oh yes we did see an older Kate at the gig! I guess they missed her out of the flash forward in the new house to keep us guessing. It seemed impossible at the time that she & Toby would split up through choice.

I’m over from Sydney visiting where we only get one episode a week released, so I’ve just binge-watched the most recent 4 episodes in the middle of the night (jet lag!)
Had a good cry at the end of the Miguel episode, my dad is ill (which is why I’m back) and my stepmum looks so old and worried, it all hit home a bit hard today!

I wasn’t that observant to notice that till others said the same a while back

knowing what we now know be good to rewatch some episodes

Rebecca was at KaPhilip's engagement party. It was intercut with flash forwards to Jack's first gig but she wasn't at the gig. It looks as though Rebecca dies at the cabin when Jack isn't an adult yet.

Yes, and seeing as Kevin’s children only look around 10 when the family are gathering at the new cabin in the flash forward there’s no way Rebecca was at Jack’s gig. Plus we didn’t see her anyway.

My DH hasn't been watching the series but has seen bits and pieces. We watched the Miguel episode a few days ago with him and poor DH was in bits! Proper crying. Bless him. He says he can't understand how DD and I keep watching it 😁

Aww the Miguel episode reminded me of my grandparents. My grandmother was always the strong healthy one who refused to see doctors and always took care of and worried about my grandfather's health. She doted on him and took care of him hand and foot throughout her life. And at the end she died before him. It was such a shock. He didn't live long without her though and passed away (from suddenly contracting sepsis) less than a year after her. 😞

I find it hard to keep up with when new episodes come out. I've just looked and I've only got to the end of episode 5 in the last season! 13 episodes to enjoy 😭👏

Im.dreading the ending in case they do a cheesy Rebecca & St. Jack reunion a la the end of titanic when kate Winslet sees Leonardo DiCaprio again 🙄

It.doesn't usually.make me cry but the end of Miguel did. I.was also wondering where his daughter was, was weird they only featured his son

There was a woman standing next to the son when they scattered his ashes who I presumed was Miguel's daughter but could have been his son's wife. It's weird they didn't make it clearer but I guess they had a lot to fit into one episode
