One last thing before finale-Thursday is unleashed, the 'someone' who Rebecca was waiting for on the train - was that Jack or Kate?

Kate

What time does it get loaded to prime? If the fuckers make me wait until tomorrow like a couple of weeks ago, I’m not going to be happy! (And it’s half term starting tomorrow so I actually can’t watch it)

It better not be like last time. I was checking all day and was so disappointed! I'm excited and sad in equal measure about the last episode.

I'm thinking I'll re watch 'The Train' before the finale...

Gaspingandleaping · 26/05/2022 08:35

It's not on prime yet but it is on Disney plus.

Will come back after watching so it can be discussed now Smile

Netaporter · 26/05/2022 09:02

I’ve watched it 😭😭😭😭

looking forward to discussing with you all when you’ve caught up!

SynchOrSwim · 26/05/2022 09:18

Are we allowed to talk about it yet...?

ThisIsGuff · 26/05/2022 09:23

Poor Miguel. Fucked over so she goes back to Jack.

How sad for the kids and partners that the Big Three think of their siblings and parents as family before their own kids and partners.

It’s fair game if it’s available to stream. Don’t want spoilers then stay off the thread.

Shmithecat2 · 26/05/2022 09:57

Just watched it on Disney+. I'm a bit underwhelmed tbh. Apart from the scenes with Deja/Randall and Kate/Toby it was a bit of an anticlimax.

Gemama · 26/05/2022 10:00

Just finished last episode sobbing and pleading out loud as it ended: please don't end, please don't end. Feel bereft!

LadyCassandra · 26/05/2022 10:02

It was a bit of a non-episode. I suppose it was what it was. I preferred The Train.

LadyCassandra · 26/05/2022 10:03

I’m really sad the series is over but nothing happened!

BlossomWood · 26/05/2022 10:23

It's still not on Prime yet! Came on here to see if anyone had any updates about what time to expect it to be loaded. Why would prime do this!

Isthatarealname · 26/05/2022 10:28

Just watched the end. I agree anticlimactic. I cried at Randall/William scenes as usual but the rest was a bit flat.

OnlyLosersTakeTheBus · 26/05/2022 10:38

Best bit was Uncle Nicky. Rest was a bit meh.

Yeah, that was a lovely scene. 'Dick'. 😊

I agree - that shocked me. Surely most people, once they have children think of them first. I thought the episode was pretty dull, more preaching from on high by St.Jack. He was so exhausting! Didn't like how pleased Randall was by "finally having a boy". So much death and misery in the world caused by the pursuit of male progency. Do they tell you that early in pregnancy in the US what the sex of the baby is? In the Uk it is at the 20 week scan - less likely to abort for sex selection at that stage and more definite.

TheGlitterati · 26/05/2022 11:19

I’ve just watched on Disney too.

i agree it was an anti climax after the last few episodes but I think it was ‘nice’. I sobbed all the way through more because I find what they say about clawing that time back really poignant, trying to be the best parent you can be, enjoying your children etc. it’s been the main theme all along and it resonates with me.

an incredible show with some amazing writers, I’m sad it’s over but I’m pleased they ended it before it turned to shit like so many others (looking at you greys anatomy).

I know, I thought that was strange.

ColdHappyBap · 26/05/2022 11:42

I thought that was a really blah ending. Too much Randall. Too much flashback.

Pl242 · 26/05/2022 12:00

I really enjoyed it. Was sobbing before the opening credits started with everyone pushing swings 🤣.

I think it was a good change of pace from last week. The central theme of how we live on in those we leave behind and how it’s the little things in how we live in our families and enjoy each other through the generations, how things feel different as we change from children, to parents, to grandparents. I thought it was really well done.

Yes I could point to details I didn’t like (why does Kate have to “go international”, why does Randall have to run for President). But I won’t.

I wanted to enjoy it and I really did. Loved this show and will really miss it.

I knew at 10 weeks via a blood test 🤷‍♀️.

GreekGod · 26/05/2022 12:26

Just seen it. Bit of an anti-climax. However, I don't understand the disappointment that Miguel was somehow treated worse than Jack. The point was that Jack was the real love of her life not Miguel. She didn't divorce Jack - he died in horrible circumstances. If Jack never died, she would never have been with Miguel. However, Rebecca was the real love of Miguel's life - that wasn't Rebecca's fault, it was just Miguel's feelings . Unless I have misunderstood, the way that the writers have dealt with this in fact very common as to what happens with second marriages when a spouse has died in tragic circumstances and totally unexpectedly. My grandmother adored my grandfather but he died while they were in their early 30s in the Cyprus war of 1974 and she went onto to marry a lovely guy in her early 40s but you could tell that the love of her life "the one" was alway my grandfather. There was nothing wrong with that - my dad alway said they were so happy but the "the one" was her first husband

I’m really sad the series is over but nothing happened!

I think that was slightly the point though? The day to day rainy family Saturday vs the big life events (per Rebecca’s scene where she said she what she was scared of forgetting.)
