Wednesday BBC1 at 9pm for anyone interested. I really enjoyed the last series.

If he had taken the stripes from the expensive blanket and used them on that white wall it would have looked fabulous. Like being inside at shirt from the 70s.

I read that in his voice 😁I think that would have been a really good idea.

I wonder if Michelle watches back the episodes and would have sent a different person home that week based on how they work & their organisation skills? I think Ami would get through on that alone, and the fact she has shown she can mould her ideas to fit the brief. Banjo, who I love and want to win (even more seeing his partner the cheese and whisky maker) had no plans for his team which I imagine the hotel they are in this to win the contract for would want.
Im so glad Paul went. I've not liked him much previous weeks but his manner this week sealed the deal.

absolutelynotfabulous · 22/04/2022 11:39

I thought they were all absolutely awful. What's with the pointless clutter?

At least Amy thought through the eating/cooking dynamic and for that alone she deserved to go through.

I think Banjo got lucky with the leather sofa - Paul should have swapped his seating out and wtaf was he thinking covering it in white linen? 😂The cupboard doors were a travesty and the lights were an insurance claim waiting to happen. 😮

Whatsnewpussyhat · 22/04/2022 17:14

Just caught up.

Yep, those rope handles will look grim by the end of one holiday season. Hope he kept the originals. WTF was he thinking with that manky, uncleanable backsplash, especially against that wooden wall. It looked awful. Why did the lodge owners put those old fashioned couches in there in the first place. They are such modern buildings.

I loved the green on Banjo's wall but not the yellow kitchen. Looked cosy at the end though.

Amy's wallpaper was bland and that light was bloody awful and another uncleanable dust trap. The bar thing she put outside was great and I loved the wooden bit she added to the kitchen worktop to make the breakfast bar.

Banjo to win.

holidayay · 22/04/2022 17:40

Banjo to win but I wouldn't commission any of them to do my home.

On the subject of sewing Bee, doe any one know when it comes s back. Of subject, anyone watch Stitch?

toots111 · 22/04/2022 18:18

So underwhelmed by the finalists this year, especially compared to last year where they both had such strong unique design aesthetics.

Wednesday at 8pm - right before the Interior Design final!

LemonViolet · 23/04/2022 08:03

The yellow and green thing is growing on me. I’m now considering an olive green velvet sofa to go against golden yellow wall in kitchen/back room!

florentina1 · 23/04/2022 08:58

Thank you SoupDragon

billysboy · 24/04/2022 17:54

Some great ideas and inspiration in some of it , Banjo will win

toomanytwinkies · 25/04/2022 17:05

I like Alan Carr but thought he showed a bit too much bias against Banjo last episode. He was full of praise for Amy and Whassisface (I’ve forgotten!) but the only comments for Banjo were that he is ‘teachers pet’ and he asked Michelle whether she actually liked his colour scheme (there was a heavy implication he did not) it didn’t sit right with me!

ZoyaTheDestroyer · 25/04/2022 19:00

Alan and Paul were very flirty.

longwayoff · 25/04/2022 19:55

Oh bugger it. I cant bear Alan Carr. Is it just me? I've found this series disappointing, sorely underfunded, and lacklustre. It's not inspiring in any way. It all feels so amateurish but not in a good way.

SoupDragon · 26/04/2022 07:48

I love Alan Carr but I do think he's a bit "marmite".

absolutelynotfabulous · 26/04/2022 09:36

I don't mind Alan Carr as a comedian and Michelle is OK but I'm so disappointed in the programme overall. I much prefer Great Interior Design Challenge with Tom Dyckhoff - why the need to dumb down? I still remember the painted leather-look armchair - genius!

I haven't yet seen one idea from this series which makes me want to replicate an idea or try something different out at home. And I couldn't care less about who wins. Disappointing. 😐

I loved that series! So much nicer, kinder and much more interesting challenges. Tom was a lovely host too.
I am still annoyed one of the contestants didn't get back to me on Instagram about some seaglass green tiles they used in a kitchen. They were glorious and I still haven't found them

NutellaEllaElla · 26/04/2022 10:23

I agree, the stupidly small budgets and amount of time meaning the outcomes were shite. The Great Interior Design Challenge was miles better.

I agree that the previous series was a lot better - they also had really interesting properties to transform.

Yeah I agree. It also makes a difference what brief you get from the client. Sometimes they’re open to everything, sometimes by just want it the same as before just with a coat of new white pony. That doesn’t seem fair, especially when the designers get critised for not experimenting

toomanytwinkies · 26/04/2022 11:40

White paint*

Flavabobble · 26/04/2022 17:58

I've been watching interior design challenge alongside this (3 of the 4 series are on prime) and in comparison this seems to be lacking something. I liked having 2 permanent judges.

LemonViolet · 27/04/2022 20:26

Who’s on tonight for la finale?

I did do a cheese board for my dinner in honour of Banjo! A vegan one though, I wanted to taste test a few anyway so 2 birds :-)

TheLightSideOfTheMoon · 27/04/2022 20:56

I’m ready.

No cheese. But I have a bland herbal tea in a dubious pastel colour - in honour of Amy’s wallpapers!

SoupDragon · 27/04/2022 21:00

Sliding in from the Sewing bee clutching a kilo of cheddar.
