I thought Molly did a brilliant job sewing that gargantuan curtain!

Absolutely! That was a hell of a task that would have taken me a week on it's own!

Loving the look of the hotel on Banjo's Instagram page.

When the camera panned out and the curtain was still going made me laugh, poor Molly but she did fab and I agree, I had a leak on Banjo’s page and it’s looking really nice!

It's a pity they didn't show the bar owners reactions to the transformations as they did on other weeks. So glad banjo won.

Just had a mosey around Banjo’s hotel design - it’s actually a self contained 4 bed/3 bath upside-down villa type accommodation. There’s a 360 digital tour you can view here my.matterport.com/show/?m=RvDyA9hKYM5&back=1

It’s nice, it’s ok….it’s not wow though?!? Especially the kitchen and upstairs is just all a little “meh” for me. I love the Jack & Jill bathroom, which is a tricky windowless room, it’s cobalt blue tiling, jade walls/ceiling and gold fixtures are stunning. Great example of how going with bold deep tones works in a dark space - don’t pretend it’s not dark, embrace it! Shame there’s a big white bath in there really, if that has been some beautiful coloured ceramic or metallic affair that could have looked amazing! I also like the yellow ceiling in one bedroom and the teal walls in another….but otherwise there’s not much going on that really wows. For me. A lot of white walls. A lot of seats that don’t look very inviting or comfy. The sofa is good though. Dining chairs look interesting, as do the wooden chairs on the outdoor terrace, but really I’d want more spacious lounging options outside! There’s very little colour in the kitchen, it feels bland. He has used some Amy wallpaper in the upstairs cloakroom too, nice touch.

I had a peek through the comments on Amy's posts about it and someone asked if the bar owners liked it and she replied something like "not 100% sure to be honest"..

I felt very sorry for her as it wasn't a level playing field at all, essentially he had to just redecorate the space where as hers needed more structurally doing to it.

As others have said the bar hasn't posted anything about the show and is now closed till 2023 for an extensive refurb, so makes you wonder what happened when the cameras stopped rolling.

Thanks for posting that- fab to see it. I agree that the bathroom is bloody fabulous. I like the jade colours popping up elsewhere too and the sofa and stripped chair. Perhaps his brief was quite specific about a certain amount of neutrals/ plain kitchen? I love the artwork in on the top floor.

Paul seems a very sad fellow. Something a bit off about how he presents.
