Love Is Blind season 2!

I’ve just seen this on Netflix, apparently the first 5 episodes are up and the next lot drop next week. Anyone watching? I loved the first season

I just saw an article about 2 other couples who got engaged on the show but who were not followed. One of them was the man who worried about his grey hair. I would really like it if they featured more of the other participants stories too - I mean just the pod stuff and post show interviews.

Judging by the trailer Mal and Sal do get married. Does anyone know why her family are not involved? I've seen the bit when they meet Mal's sister and she's not exactly overjoyed.. I have been skipping a lot of fillers so may have missed some other details.

I was also thinking it would be particularly shitty if Iyanna said no with Jarrette's dad officiating his first ever wedding!

To be honest if it were my sister in Mal's position, I'd probably have reacted the same as Mal's sister. I'd be really shocked and worried, but all from a place of love. I am a lot older than my sister as well so I can understand the feeling of being like second mum. That being said, I'd still turn up to the wedding and anything my sister would want me to be there for (i.e. dress fitting). I don't think you've missed anything as I don't know anything more than you do on the matter.

@cuno yes, as a big sis I probably would be on the cautious side as well but even Natalie's mum managed to come round! Grin I just thought they maybe was more info somewhere because Mal said a couple of times how sad it was that her mum & sister weren't at the dress fitting etc.

I’m at the start of episode 9 and Mallory is so clearly dying inside every time Sal sings to her.

Can’t believe how much I’ve warmed up to Shayne! I really like him and Natalie as a couple

I was disappointed we didn't see more of the pods too. People failing to connect is sometimes more fun to watch than the connections.
And it would help to see why they'll final couples eliminated some of the others, and ended up with who they did.

Yep they’re sooooooo boring!!

Why are they being given so much screen time? As PP hit the nail in the head, the in depth conversations are like watching an episode of Dawson’s Creek

When they started arguing in the costumes and he was suddenly icy cold, said he felt too hot and said he had to take the costume off. COLD!!

He’s not cut out to handle Danielle but in fairness nobody is. Poor Danielle. She isn’t comfortable enough in her own skin to be with someone else yet. They slept together so early on too which makes me think she probably did that because she needed to know he fancied her, more than her fancying him perhaps? How are they under this illusion they have this great connection?!! When they say ILY I squirm!!

I get the impression that Danielle's family haven't helped with her insecurities about her body image. Her mum mentioned that she used to be heavier. I mean, as if being overweight is the worst thing a person can be? And to be so worried about putting the weight back on. It's as if a lot of emphasis was out on her weight growing up and being slim and being desirable go hand in hand. You can support someone in losing weight and being healthy without having the weight define them.

And maybe I'm repressed but I think it's odd for someone's brother to ask how often they have sex.

Danielle is crazy and I think judging by the litres of sweat pouring from Nick at the altar, he's realised this too and is gonna run. Don't get me wrong he's also completely bizarre 😂

I feel like he'll say no too, but I'm often wrong.
I presume Jarette won't say no if his dad is officiating. Not sure about Iyanna.
I really hope Natalie and Shayne both say yes. I did feel sorry for him at the baseball thing 🤣
Not sure Mal will say yes.

Glad I'm not the only one who switched from not liking, to liking Shayne. I do hope him and Natalie work out. Had to giggle to myself at the wedding dress fittings though, I thought Eddie Izzard had somehow infiltrated the show, but it was Shayne's mum Blush

I'm still not convinced Kyle's a real person, he looks like he's been drawn by Disney.

Can't wait for the finale episodes. Nick was very sweaty before his vows. What a way to end the show!

@ChikaCherryCola unlike MAFS and other weddingy reality TV shows, Love Is Blind weddings are legal and official!

I think Nick has the patience of a saint, Danielle is always picking a fight at something. I think he actually is very articulate when they have their ‘conflicts’

I hope Natalie and Shayne get hitched, their chemistry is off the wall and I love that he didn’t give awful Shaina a second thought.

Sal 100% had a girlfriend before the show he forgot to dump, some poor woman he was keeping on ice in case he didn’t get engaged - I’m surprised someone as smart as Mallory seems to be isn’t calling him out on this more! He says “We weren’t even together” yet this woman knew the address of his sisters? Hmm

Oh yes, of course honesty is best. But there's way of delevering it. Maybe it was edited badly for drama, but it seemed unkind the way she just said "well clearly that's not the dress" (or something) in front of everyone. And she'd already been very dismissive of the dress Danielle had liked earlier.

I didn't notice that she looked like "a chorizo being pushed back into its skin", but maybe I'll have to re-watch in case I missed how bad it was 😂 I do get a bit bored at the trying on dresses bits tbf.

Re the other couples who get engaged but not shown, I suspect people have a poor reaction when they reveal the person is overweight snd the show don’t want to show that as it defeats the purpose! Not sure why we don’t see more of them in the pods but I guess they show either the awful ones or the ones that go through all the way.

Woman are allowed to propose to men on the show. They just don’t want to (according to the producer).

The only blind person in this is Deepti and nick and danielle who are a car crash but 90% of Danielle's insecurity issues are probably related to her fucking awful critical mother
