I’ve just seen this on Netflix, apparently the first 5 episodes are up and the next lot drop next week. Anyone watching? I loved the first season

If it was Deeps who was saying she didn't fancy Shake, I think we'd all get it.
If he thinks he can do better, I don't get why he's on the show.
I think she could have matched with anyone else and been showered with affection.

Giraffesandbottoms · 24/02/2022 06:55

I think they have left it too long to have sex and friendzoned themselves! Should have just got tipsy earlier on and got it on, usually getting physical can create those feelings!

Giraffesandbottoms · 24/02/2022 06:55

Also Nick sweating at the wedding killed me. Can’t wait for Friday

Totally agree with this. Absolutely no point being coy about it. You have a month until the wedding, have all the sex to make sure you are really compatible. Shake's 'I want to fuck you mentally first' is just nonsense.

To me Shayne really looks like John C. McGinley as Perry Cox in Stubs.

thenightsky · 24/02/2022 22:53

Shane has a look of Freddie Flintoff.

marcopront · 25/02/2022 07:28

What time is it available?

heelforheelandtoefortoe · 25/02/2022 08:21

I do not like Danielle at all

Shayne has freaky eyes

Shaina is a bitch

Deeps has a funny shaped nose and it distracts me.

I don't think any of them will be successful marriages

RevolutionRadio · 25/02/2022 08:32

I'm glad it's not just me that sees this!
RayRayGreene · 25/02/2022 09:15

Can we please not post any spoilers of who says I do and who doesn't? Let everyone catch up over the next few days Smile

Why don't people who haven't watched the final episode just not read this thread until they have?
countdowntonap · 25/02/2022 13:25

I agree @marcopront
I’ve just finished episode 10 and came straight here to see what people thought about it, and there’s no chat!

marcopront · 25/02/2022 13:27

I've finished it as well but have a meeting to go to
I'll be back in an hour

I was shocked by some

JazzPigeon · 25/02/2022 13:33

I'm ready to chat!! I got 1 out of 5 correct so there's a lot that was a total shock.

jay55 · 25/02/2022 13:54

I'm so jealous. I want to get started so badly.

Lampface · 25/02/2022 14:31

I'm watching episode 10 now, 1/4 the way through. Can't wait to join this thread after I've finished!

countdowntonap · 25/02/2022 14:47

Did you find yourself skipping through the final episode? I was desperate to see who said yes and who said no! I seem to recall enjoying the final episode of S1 more - did the cast members go to each others’ weddings then?

Yes! I watched the whole thing in about 15 minutes 🤣

No spoilers from me except to say that Shayne still couldn't find a pair of socks on his wedding day.

RoyKentsChestHair · 25/02/2022 17:00

Spoiler alert so don’t read ahead if you haven’t watched it…!

I like that Shane went outside to find Natalie, unlike bloody Shake having a party. The fact that he was able to say “I’m hurt” showed a maturity and sensitivity I hadn’t expected from him tbh!

cuno · 25/02/2022 17:01

Oh my god, I just finished watching the final episode and I came straight to this thread but looks like not many people have caught up yet. SPOILERS AHEAD!

I am SO happy that Deeps said no, she walked away with her dignity and self respect, I feel quite proud of her actually. One day she will find someone who deserves her.

I wish Nick said no. It would have really upset Danielle, broke her heart even, but it would have been better for both of them in the long term if he'd said no. They are not suited at all, she's not ready for a relationship let alone marriage, and as I said before something about Nick is really "off". I feel like there's a sinister streak in him. He also strikes me as a humourless git, couldn't even comprehend Danielle owning funny costumes and sneers at her gaming... fair enough it's not for him, but they're not right for each other. I think their marriage will be short and they'll be divorced in a year and it'll take Danielle even longer to work on herself and build her self esteem.

I'm happy that Natalie and Shane had a proper argument, because I think it helped Natalie see clearly, after all marriage is not sunshine and rainbows. Iirc said he hated her and that she was the worst thing in his life, massive red flag and she was right to walk away from that.

I was surprised Sal said no, I thought he would say yes and Mal would be the one saying no. I still think though if Sal said yes, she would have said no anyway. She couldn't even give him a straight answer when he asked her about it afterwards, which says it all really. She seemed relieved and not hurt one bit.

I thought it was really sweet when Iyanna and Jarrette were getting ready separately, they both said "thugs don't cry" while crying. Both said yes and seemed really happy. I do think they have a chance in marriage but only if he stops trying to act like a bachelor. I think time will tell and it could go either way, but it's not a disastrous match like Danielle and Nick in my opinion.

Really looking forward to the reunion, that's always my favourite part of these shows!

Italiangreyhound · 25/02/2022 17:24

cuno couldn't agree with you more. Especially the thugs don't cry!

JazzPigeon · 25/02/2022 18:21

Ok, sooo my two cents...

I was so happy Deeps chose herself. Just such an empowering moment for her. Shake has a little dick and a big ego. Unbelievably unaware of how he comes across. He was so embarrassing after she left, I kept hoping the camera man would say 'you need to stop talking now'..

I think everyone thought Nick would say no. I really hope they have a better relationship than the Netflix cut. I've read some of Danielle's posts and she explained a lot about her mental health and how events were misrepresented.

SalMal. I'm glad he got to say no first. She definitely would've said no. I thought it was really gracious of him to talk to her family after, showed real class and maturity.

... which can't be said about Shane! Natalie well and truly dodged it. I think I was so happy for her I missed all the 🚩. His toddler-like impulsivity, simmering anger and possible substance abuse (I may be stretching here but who's eyes do all that naturally?!) LOVE her parents.

And finally Iyanna and Jarrette. I'm glad they've showed some proper footage of them as a couple, they seem very genuine and comfortable together. They have good family support as well so I hope they last. Im still not 100% about Jarrette but she deserves it!

Italiangreyhound · 25/02/2022 18:31

JazzPigeon "I've read some of Danielle's posts and she explained a lot about her mental health and how events were misrepresented."

Where did you find those?

I feel sorry for Danielle buy I also think she could start an argument in an empty room!

jay55 · 25/02/2022 18:31

I freaking love Deeps, she was pure class through the whole process. She didn't bad mouth him or react to his shit talk about her. Then just dropped him from a height at the alter, looking freaking gorgeous as she did it.

Agree Nathalie dodged a bullet. Shane scared me at times and clearly the argument really shook her up. I'm glad she said no.
I expect her to find someone in no time.
He'll probably shag Shania on the rebound, and she'll turn into a stalker and pop up on every date he ever has.

Nick. Fool.

Sal deffo did a preemptive no to save himself from Mal's inevitable one. I think he probably checked out of the relationship that night in Mexico when she was talking to Jarrett. And she was never in to it.

Iyanna and Jarrett could be far more suited than I thought. He clearly really wanted to get married, I hope he works on it and makes her happy. I think his family will be great support to them both.

cuno · 25/02/2022 18:41

@JazzPigeon

I've avoided reading any social media or statements by any of the cast because of spoilers. I do think edits can be hugely manipulative, but no matter how they edited it Danielle and Nick definitely argued and said those things in such a short space of time which is meant to be the honeymoon period of a relationship! I do feel sorry for Danielle and can see she struggles with her mental health, I don't think she's a nasty person at all. I just think she is incredibly vulnerable and needs to work on herself more, go to therapy etc before pursuing a long term relationship.
