I've just watched this tonight.
Shake and Deeps. Deeps is totally the heroine of this series. I think she's grown and found herself throughout this series. She was absolutely spot on to "choose herself". I felt really proud of her, not just for doing it, but for doing it with such grace and dignity. Shake, I think also did have personal growth, but I think its clear he has a Whore/Madonna complex. He really liked and respected Deeps, but the more he respected her, the less sexually attracted he felt to her. I think he would have said yes if she did, but she deserves so much more, and if they had got married I think he would have ended up cheating on her.
Danielle and Nick. He gives me bad vibes, and she's so vulnerable. Shouldn't have gone ahead - it's a car crash waiting to happen.
Mal and Sal. I never really felt much warmth between them throughout. No surprise that it didn't go ahead, but I thought either of them could have said no.
Shayne and Natalie. I bloody loved all their parents (esp Nat's Dad) and on some levels I was sad that this didn't work out. However, Natalie is lovely and straightforward, and Shayne is so needy with red flags waving all over the place. I think these two did have an emotional connection and really fancied each other, but they didn't have a solid foundation on which to build a marriage, so Natalie totally made the right call.
Jarrett and Iyana. I had big doubts about this couple throughout the series, but in today's episode I saw real love and intimacy between them - shared jokes, loving touches, tender looks. I think they might just work out. I wish them luck!
