I missed it- again. I am so pleased for Felix, though, he is really doing brilliantly at the moment.
This could be his year- in recent weeks he has beaten Zverev at the AtP cup (and Daniil in the doubles) and now Rublev and Stef. He really pushed Medvedev at the Aussie upon too.

I’ve not manage to see any tennis either - that’s a good win for Felix - I think winning his first tournament was becoming a bit of a hurdle for him so pleased that he’s managed to do it

I do too Well he seems really lovely.
Commentators were asking where Steph should go from here, it's really not been the best start to the year.

I don't trust Djok- and trophies and winning mean everything to him- so he's up to something
But I won't be sorry if I never see him play again. He keeps finding a way to keep the attention on him though- when it should be about the players who are actually playing.

I don't know whether to watch the programme or not. I can't stand Amol Rajan either. Will probably record and watch back on slightly fast forward, to get through it quicker

All we have to do is hope that tournaments, especially the GSs, adhere to stringent vaccinated entry rules for the next five years I'm not holding my breath though

He's not even likely to be banned from Australia since he was deported -which we kept being told would be for 3 years- and would be for anyone else in the same situation, probably (without his bank account and profile).

I'm sure there are other players who would be mentally affected by something like this - and their game would suffer, and they might never play again. Not Djok though. He really thinks he is a higher being. .

I don't know what is happening with Indian Wells, either- since he is apparently on the list to play there. Vaccines are required to enter the US- and prof of vaccination is required to be able to play. So, I've no idea what is going on there. I will be really annoyed if this is another drawn out 'can he, can't he' scenario. No, he can't. Move on.

I don't trust him either. I really hope Indian Wells stick to the rules and more importantly make the decision early and stick to it to avoid a repeat of the AO fiasco.

I think he just assumes that the threat of him not playing will be enough for the Slams to change their rules. What will probably happen is that rules will change anyway and he will assume it’s because of him so he’ll get his way AND get an extra boost of arrogance with it.

Exactly Chessie - the rules are already relaxing in many countries- so by the time RG comes around, who knows if things will be different anyway?
And Wimbledon will welcome him with open arms no doubt.

Fizzy but he doesn't need a vaccine- because he is has been putting ££££ into finding a magic treatment for Covid. Because you can cure viruses, right?

Indeed. He just emulates smugness and neediness (please please please like me). Yuck.

He really is a smug so and so- and the sooner that smugness is knocked out of him the better.

I'm annoyed that he keeps getting airtime to spout his nonsense- and that Wimbledon are seriously considering letting him play (as an unvaxxed played) and he is still on the list for IW. .

in other tennis news, things are still not going well for Murray - who lost 6-0 6-1 to RBA in Doha.

But Cilic beat the fabulously named Botic van de Zandschulp.
