The two of them look like they've been through the wars.

Apparently, Rafa incurred a stress fracture of the rib during the Alcaraz match and will be out for 4 to 6 weeks, probably missing Monte Carlo and Barcelona.

Gutted for him, given how important it was for him to be ready for the clay. I’m wondering whether he will even be able to train in that period to be ready for Madrid, or whether he will be training then for Rome.

To do what he did in the final with a cracked rib is jaw dropping.

The frustrating thing is that MC and Barcelona are probably his best events ( apart from RG)-he struggles more at Madrid, but conditions in Rome are meant to be similar to the French. I do hope he can recover.

(And RG decide they will ban non vaxxed players after all).

That’s such a shame about him not being able to start the clay season - those tournaments are usually my favourites - don’t really want to watch them if Djok is going to be there. Hopefully he’ll be able to recover in time for the French Open

(I wonder if it was the physio that he had on court that caused his injury? I’m sure it wasn’t but it looked brutal!)
