Anybody watched it yet? I binged watched the whole thing this morning 😳

I watched the second half of it today. It definitely amped up the spoofiness in the last couple of episodes, that's for sure. I didn't guess the killer (I'm often bad at guessing who the killer is). I thought it would turn out to be Sloan, her gallery pal.

Definitely felt like they're hoping for a second series. I wonder how much Glenn Close got paid for her 30 seconds work Grin
I don't normally like spoofs but enjoyed this. It was better than The Woman in the Window movie.
Loved the raccoon lamp 😆

This article mentions a few other films that it parodies www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/tv/news/woman-in-the-house-across-the-street-films-parodies-list-b2008377.html
I can't read that article but is one of the films mentioned The Hand That Rocks The Cradle? There was a gardener/handyman in that which I assumed inspired the Buell character.

Chocomelon · 06/02/2022 17:34

I watched it all today and yesterday. I didn't realise it was a spoof exactly but realised it was partly a comedic. It was good!

Mooserp · 07/02/2022 09:36

Sorry if the link I posted doesn't work. The films mentioned are -

The Woman in the Window
The Girl on the Train
Rear Window
The Hand that Rocks the Cradle
Copycat
Final Analysis
Fatal Attraction
Flight Plan

charliebear78 · 09/02/2022 08:44

Copycat was my fave film years ago!
I don't get how it was making fun of that? Mind you only watched up to episode 5..like it and don't like it..but can't stop watching! I roo feel drunk whilst watching...everything she tops up I feel I should!

I thgink it was that bit where she forced herself to go out in the rain, like when Sigourney Weaver forces herself out into the corridor. I agree Cxopycat is a brilliant movie.

@TakeSomeMoreTea

I’ve joined this thread just to say WTF?!?? It makes no sense at all.

It's supposed to make you think WTF - Like nobody ever would leave their child in a room with a serial killer that ate people.

Least of all an FBI forensic psychiatrist and profiler!
CounsellorTroi · 09/02/2022 09:56

Her teeth should have looked dreadful too with all that red wine. Mine are stained after just a couple of glasses which is why I drink white at parties!

RevolvingPivot · 17/02/2022 10:26

Hi I don't want to read the thread as I'm only on episode 1.

Is there any sex in this?

Thank you.?

RevolvingPivot · 17/02/2022 10:30

Lol just saw some. Anymore? Assume so?

charliebear78 · 17/02/2022 13:36

Yes later on maybe episode 5 there is some soft focus sex! Quite a few different scenes all one after the other!
I was watching and my 14yr old was moving about in the next room I was concerned he would come into the room abd wonder just what I was watching lol

TracyMosby · 18/02/2022 11:40

Just finished this and searched for a thread on it. I was convinced the casserole dish reappearing, the phone call from her therapist, the changing tombstone wording meant she would be shown in a psychiatric hospital at the end sat in a chair, looking out of the window like buffy the vampire slayer. Or spinning a coin on a table…

RevolvingPivot · 18/02/2022 12:38

I agree with others it's as though they filmed it then went back and added a couple of silly OTT bits.

I liked it but think it should have been one or the other really.

LaChatte · 19/02/2022 20:17

It took me waaaaaaay too long to realise it was a spoof 😂 (when we find out how the daughter died). I enjoyed it, figured out who the killer was early on.

OMG the racoon light 🤣🤣🤣

JacquelineCarlyle · 27/02/2022 09:02

I finished it yesterday and really enjoyed it. Hope there's a season 2!

SaltedCaramelIcedLatte · 27/02/2022 21:19

I really enjoyed this

JohannSebastianBach · 28/02/2022 22:30

I loved this, I watched the woman in the window just before.

When she filled the first wine glass and then slurped it Grin

Also the dog paintings and the line "it was take your daughter to work day" and the dad walking into the maximum security prison with the little girl.
Buell the handyman played serial killer Ed Kemper in Mindhunter.

XelaM · 09/03/2022 21:52

Just finished this. I loved it!!! It's so good Grin

Probably totally inappropriate, but I watched it with my 12-year-old Blush and she loved it too.

Can't wait for season 2

XelaM · 09/03/2022 21:53

Buell was the best 😂

ComDummings · 09/03/2022 22:04

I liked it a lot, I realised as soon as I read the title that it was a spoof so I think that’s why I enjoyed it. If I didn’t realise I think I’d have been confused for a couple of episodes Grin I hope we get a second season.
