Anybody watched it yet? I binged watched the whole thing this morning 😳

I haven't finished it yet but I think it is full of spoof everywhere, from the cheesy lines on the gravestone to her godawful paintings to "Bingo!" Loved her breaking the security light then the handyman finding the dead racoon that must have broken it!

When I told DH about the serial killer and take your daughter to work day he nearly choked on his dinner with laughter.

It had some black humour , I think that's why I liked it.
It was also pacy and easy to follow !!

The 'hot' neighbour is so weasely looking. I think the casting bods could have done a bit better there.

It's supposed to make you think WTF - Like nobody ever would leave their child in a room with a serial killer that ate people.

I saw a good twitter post from the actor who plays sexy (not sexy!) Neil who said the show is summed up for him by the touching hands on the casserole dish scene. He describes it as 'so utterly stupid. So utterly sincere.'

That is the essence I think - the series is stupid but they really committed to the world and the story.

Can anyone recommend anything similarly funny. I did also enjoy Dead To Me, at times it was silly and other times really good.

I loved it. I was laughing out loud all the way through. But it was so incredibly close to all the Harlen Coben nonsense I'd seen recently that it was sometimes hard to forget it wasn't trying to be sincere.

I like Dead To Me too but I can't think of anything else at the moment.

I've just looked on at IMDB. I need to watch this as it's got Steve Martin and Martin Short in.

Not the same but I enjoyed the film Murder Mystery with Jennifer Anniston and Adam Sandler. Very silly and they have making a 2.

I liked Good Girls too, though slightly different genre, but Mae Whitman was brilliant in it.

Murderville on Netflix has just come out, it’s quite funny. It’s improv with a guest star.

I feel like they might've been "sending up" the diversity aspect in one way. I thought that it could've been a reference that both the spouses were non-white (+ barely characters) while the main characters were white. Meaning that even though they had mixed-race children who were characters (well, Emma more so than Elizabeth) they were very very light-skinned and the story revolved for 99% of the show around the white people.

Oh, I loved all of Judy's wardrobe and her lovely hair. She looked amazing in everything she wore. I love prints and patterns.

I honestly couldn't tell if this was supposed to be a spoof or not. The writing was terrible, the scenes were cringe and it was just so poorly done. It's like the writers got lost with what they were trying to achieve with it, that it falls short.

No Buster, felt like I lost a few hours of my life. I clung on to the end hoping it would all become clear that what had happened was figments of Anna's imagination... but no, the 9 year old was a spoilt little brat with narcissistic tendencies. Disappointing.

The whole thing made me think the writers needed to lay off the drugs.

It was great!

I don't normally like spoofs but enjoyed this. It was better than The Woman in the Window movie.
