Anybody watched it yet? I binged watched the whole thing this morning 😳

Did anyone understand the very end scene?

I'm half way through this and have been enjoying it so far. But it's like it only remembers it's supposed to be a spoof of this genre once or twice an episode. Feels pretty standard 'wine drinking woman suspects criming is happening' thriller stuff so far.

The gravestone keeps on changing the words on it ? Or am I wrong ?

I like it but it’s barely a spoof IMO. It’s no more ridiculous than Stay Close, for example. It’s enjoyable!

It was pretty good , I liked how it was fairly straightforward and easy to follow and kept you guessing with a bit of humour too
' the mailbox still isn't fixed '! The same casserole dishes etc.
Most films of this kind were parodied here , as I tend to read books like this I got most of it ( apart from the headstone thing , which makes sense now, thought it was me seeing things!!)
I hope they make another season.

I'm watching it right now and it's bonkers. I laughed out loud at a few things and me and DH are just puzzled about what it's trying to be. Think I'll give it up

I couldnt get into it at all

It was superior to ' stay close ' and I didn't mind that either ! Just easier to understand and got on with the story.

When they remember it's supposed to be a spoof and then shoe-horn in a mention of how the daughter died it just feels a bit weird. Is it supposed to be funny?

I think it is meant to be funny , as if you would leave your daughter in the cell with a criminal! Plus they were only outside the room too !! As if it's just black humour there , but I can see why it would upset people.
I watched a thriller film ( a serious one ) where the woman had agoraphobia and couldn't go out and was watching her neighbours and also had a therapist on speed dial etc. She was hallucinating some things too , might have been Nicole Kidman in it or someone like that ?
Cant recall the films name. It was very similar to this.
It is a mash up of every type of thriller and book in this kind of genre.
I guess you either like spoofs or you don't and this one is pretty well done I thought , but then I watch and read a lot of these type of things.

Is it supposed to be a piss take? Because I assumed it was, but every single trailer I've seen does not look like a piss take. If it IS a pisstake, I'd like to watch it, because that bloody book annoyed me so much that I didn't even bother finishing it - just skipped to the last chapter to confirm I knew who the baddie was. I absolutely hated it. I do love the actress but even something slightly serious would irritate me.

The scene with the detective where she was talking about Anna's daughter and the serial killer and his polygraph test it was a bit like a scene from the Scary Movie franchise, and felt to me like they couldn't find a way to blend the spoofy bit with the thriller bit. Same as when her gardener/handyman guy held up the raccoon corpse. Just random scenes spliced in. It just felt like someone else had written those scenes. Which I suppose they may have!

@sociallydistained thank you. I might give it a try then. I love a show that doesn't take itself too seriously (hence my love of The Witcher. Dh keeps wondering in to find me giggling as monsters are being ripped apart of whatever)

I binge watched it yesterday morning too and enjoyed it.. Loved the stuffed lamp!
