Very true, I mean the poor things never even had a bedtime story or even any books in the home. Thankfully it looks as if Chloe is bucking the trend as she has some lovely books for for her little one already. The fact she went to uni as well has got to be a plus in terms of teaching her DC to value education and to see beyond having baby after baby after baby...

thefamilyupstairs · 28/08/2022 11:53

Chloe dropped out of uni within a year and said it was a waste of her time.... Back to the pie shop it was and she's been there ever since.

I have too many problems with this family to go into. I certainly wouldn't watch any show they are in. I do not think they should be allowed on TV.

Blondeshavemorefun · 28/08/2022 12:24

I love reading and thankfully dd5 has my love of books hopefully won’t have my love of trashy tv 😂

I read to her every day and she can read to me as well - I wake up to her reading books To herself which is so sweet

I honestly beleive having that many kids even tho some are older now , but you can’t give them the time they need to help develop grow and learn

My kids have loads of books. Always have. They have never been into reading. If I ask my dd12 to look up something regarding her pets etc something that's for her benefit, she always says she will look on YouTube 😬

Blondeshavemorefun · 28/08/2022 19:43

Amazing what you can find on you tube

But they are not evil. A lot of people who have kids actually are! I just think that, having watched various programmes about big families, they all seem to be a bit cult like in the way that they function. The reason people like to watch programmes about them is that it seems extraordinary that anyone could have 22 children.

TheFairyCaravan · 28/08/2022 20:46

I think people are starting to wise up to them, tbh. There will always be their fanatics who see no wrong in anything they do, don’t believe they have ever claimed benefits, and think his magic pie shop is akin to Mr Kiplings. However, I think more and more people are beginning to realise their sums don’t add up anymore and all they do is spend, spend, spend and brag, brag, brag. That is really going to wear thin during a cost of living crisis.

I think Channel 5 are going to be tone deaf if they get Sally Lindsay (who has always stuck up for the working classes) to narrate another series of 22Kids and Counting telling viewers that poor Noel has worked another 4 day week so they can go off in their brand new £90k motorhome again. Or Sue and Noel have just fired up the Porsche to go shopping for clothes for Florida and a £4K sofa. It won’t sit right.

Of course people have every right to do what they want with their money, but you have to expect people to have an opinion on it when you broadcast it to the world.

BedknobsNoBroomsticks · 28/08/2022 21:10

@TheFairyCaravan i completely agree with this. In a time when people are really worried about how they are going to feed their families or heat their homes the last thing they need to see is this family bragging and bragging.

woodhill · 28/08/2022 21:15

Yes it will just grate

I was fed up with their wastefulness before all this and how shallow they are

If Sue goes on about the laundry again

Harrystylestutu · 29/08/2022 07:44

The sums clearly don't add up at all. How much is Disney florida, staying at the resort, trips to universal, fast track passes, dining experiences etc? They've treated Sophie, her Dh and three kids this time aswell and Millie is there with her two, and some boyfriends and girlfriends. 26 of them have gone. must be about 40k?

I remember an earlier episode when they went camping to France and they couldn't go to the zoo as it was too expensive, and Noel wouldn't even let them get make your own hot chocolate from the supermarket.

I was a little taken aback that Asda gifted them school uniforms aswell. It kind of made me want to NOT get mine from there. They've got loads of puppies, motorhomes, a Porsche, a swim spa, hot tub etc. and now she openly doesn't hand down clothes on principle, such a waste, but she might donate them hopefully or pass them to Sophie, Chris and millies children?

I think now they have a bigger following, they can claim back lots of things that are used for vlogging?

Its such a different way to when the eldest were small. I do feel for the children, I wouldn't begrudge them anything, it's not their fault, but I do think they're all being exploited for money. And if anyone questions anything, they get ripped to shreds!

LetsGoCrazyPurpleBanana · 29/08/2022 08:52

Believeinyou · 28/08/2022 08:25

Can anyone explain how they can afford all of this? Are the holidays all paid for by channel 5 or do they pay for them through the social influencing? Does it really pay that well??? twice to florida in a year, a motorhome, massive 27k hot tub.....

sue is also always always shopping

I know the pie shop isn't paying for this kind of lifestyle and it's since they became better known the lifestyle has got more and more extravagant

6 expensive designer dogs

none of the older adult children seem to have properly flown the nest away from either the home or the pie shop with the exception of the eldest who always appears to be slightly estranged from the chaos. But what are the older lads actually doing - what careers/ aspirations do they have? From their content they seem to have very part time 'work' in the pie shop and then gaming in their 'teenage' bedrooms. These are young men who don't seem to have any aspiration. The girls seems to be having children at a younger and younger age - Id be incredibly worried about Millie if she were my daughter. Don't have to be a genius to work out she has some emotional issues and is looking for love and attention

I actually feel sorry for them - the impact is starting to show on the older ones so I think the ones 'lost' in the middle will have some serious issues to deal with

The older son Chris has posted some worrying things. His mental health is suffering:( But that's ok sue is swanning around Florida. Never seen her spoil his children either.

LetsGoCrazyPurpleBanana · 29/08/2022 08:56

Occured to me that given the amount of children, not one of them wears glasses. I bet she's never got their eyes checked.

Harrystylestutu · 29/08/2022 08:58

I was worried about Chris's post aswell 😞

purpleme12 · 29/08/2022 09:03

Why what's he posted?

Blondeshavemorefun · 29/08/2022 09:06

Where did Chris post

what did he say

Those poor kids have never been to the optician or dentist. Probably only go to the doctor if they actually collapse or something.

Noel thinks it's funny that he doesn't know any of their birthdays.

I don't know much about Chris, but he was initially brought up by Sue's parents really. Probably had a lovely childhood until Sue married Noel, and immediately started having more and more babies. I bet that's affected him a lot, he would remember being the only one, then every year from age 4 he was pushed out more and more following the arrival of the latest baby.

The girls especially have awful teeth. You can tell they've constantly had a dummy or sugary bottle shoved in their mouths the way their front top teeth have grown :(

Harrystylestutu · 29/08/2022 09:39

He posted a picture of a sign saying "there's help available" a mental health poster, and he wrote over the top "no there's not" with a sad emoji 😞

Harrystylestutu · 29/08/2022 09:49

Katie's not enjoying herself either by her Instagram stories, but her and her boyfriend do a lot of childcare.

Chris has struggled with his mental health for a long time. He’s posted about it before but Sue has made him take down social media posts then denied all knowledge as if it’s something to be ashamed of.

This holiday where all the grandchildren, apart from his children, have gone won’t be helping either. I’ve been there, not Florida, but villas on the Algarve, France, Spain, Ireland, Wales and day trips to theme parks. My parents used to take all my siblings kids and leave mine out, it really stings and it sends your mind racing about why you’re not good enough or why your children aren’t good enough, what’s wrong with your partner etc. It’s a really horrible place to be. You question it and get belittled. It doesn’t matter how many people say fair doesn’t have to be equal, unless you’ve been in that position you’ll never understand how much inequality and unfairness hurts.

Chris and his partner aren’t well off. They’ve got quite a few kids.I’d bet that Sue and Noel don’t help them out, they’re never seen on vlogs. It’s bloody disgusting really. They carried on having kids because they could see the money they were bringing in but they didn’t stop to think about the older kids. Your kids don’t stop needing you once they hit 18 or move out.

KittensTeaAndCake · 29/08/2022 11:13

Bloody awful. How the hell can you enjoy your holiday when you know your eldest DC is hurting? 😢
she calls herself a mother?! 😡

GettingOrganisedNow · 29/08/2022 11:18

I respect Chris for keeping his kids out of the vlogs, even if it has meant that they've lost out financially. This trend of "family blogs" seems to me to be very exploitative - those kids have no privacy; everything they do is recorded and broadcast for the world to see. That must be incredibly hard for them even now, but that footage will be around forever too. It wouldn't surprise me if blogging with kids is clamped down on in the next decade or so - once the kids (Radfords or any others) grow up, sooner or later they're going to start suing their parents for how they've been used.

KittensTeaAndCake · 29/08/2022 11:19

So she had her first at 13/14? When did she have the 2nd?
Why the hell didn't her mother keep her away from him after she had the first baby?
