Yes it's as ridiculous as ever but it's pure escapism, the clothes are fab and Gabriel is gorgeous!

Emily in Paris is so bad it's good and I love it. Finished watching it in two days.

Sylvie has grown on me from last season and now my favourite character and Mindy is a close second.

Any recommendations similar are welcome to fill the Emily in Paris shaped whole in my life. Particularly like how each episode is only around 30 mins

Younger is similar

Sylvie is the best character. Best arc and best clothes.
Way too much of Mindy's average singing.
Emily's clothes were just mental (and I'm a fan of clashing prints, bright colours etc) but something went wrong there.

Still very much enjoyed this series and excited for series 3!

The Bold Type is similar - sec and city meets devil wears prada.

Just finished it. Enjoyable escapism. Sylvie and Luc are my favourite characters. When Emily spells out how she is doing her job, sentence by sentence, I count myself lucky not the have her as a colleague. And Gabriel is just beautiful.

When they had the dinner party out in the street for Emily's birthday I actually gasped at how thin Lily Collins was. Very concerning and putting her in tiny skimpy dresses made it even more obvious.

Agree with this. How sad that she’s suffered in the past with an eating disorder, I really hope she isn’t unwell again at the moment

I do love Emily in Paris… it’s shite but very watchable shite and I just adore Luc, he’s hilarious. Alfie is a bit dead to watch but quite pretty. As for Gabriel, good lord 🥵

Ok then I’ve started watching The Bold Type now. Does the acting and script get better after the pilot?!

Yes! The cast do gel more and expand a bit

I noticed how ill lilly looks its frightening the difference between the two seasons.

I’m binging Emily at the moment.

Maid is a good watch.

Good lord indeed. I never tire of staring at this man in his scenes. He can talk about what time he needs to be at the marché in the morning and his omelette pan until whatever time of the night he likes! I'd still be there listening and staring...

Lucas Bravo was interviewed in todays The Times. He's single and currently filming a movie with George Clooney & Julia Roberts.

I'm utterly transfixed by Lucas Bravo. He's gorgeous, and his expression as he looks at Emily...... it's worth watching for him alone!

I'm in recovery from anorexia (in a two steps forward, one step back sort of way sometimes).

I had to turn it off halfway through episode one because I couldn't stop thinking how slim she was and how much I desperately wanted to lose weight again (and I'm at a bmi 18.5 so not huge to begin with!)

It's a bit reassuring that other people here were thinking the same thing.
