I’m currently doing catch up of the previous series before viewing

He was sloppy leaving the blood all over the place.

I loved dexter, I remember getting the 1st season and I watched the 1st ep and didn't like it then one night when I couldn't sleep I put it on and was totally hooked.

Hated Doakes and Lila. Season 4 with the trinity killer was just amazing and I gasped at the ending.

I'm intruged to see where this season takes us.

Is it just me or does Michael C Hall look exactly the same?

He has not aged at all. Though neither has deb.

Even in six feet under he looks the same

i thought exactly the same !
He’s aged a bit since 6FU but it’s lovely ageing (I think makes him more handsome) and I don’t think he’s had work done, I Like him a lot and he did the narration for that Vietnam war series, such a distinctive voice
There are some good photos of him on Reddit meeting fans on the lead up to the series

I was a bit underwhelmed until nearer the end of episode 1. Fingers crossed it continues in a similar vein to the latter part.

I haven't rewatched any of the previous seasons as I don't think I'd enjoy it as much as I did at the time. I hope this doesn't mean I miss too much due to forgetting little details.

Agree it was enjoyable enough as a scene setter but I'm not yet gripped.

I miss Angel, Quinn and Masuka and that lovely Miami warm feel! And sweary Deb

But looking forward to the next one for sure as tv generally is pretty crap right now. Hopefully new Ozark won't be long either.

I know what you mean, seeing film or series set in snow and cold climates (like Fargo) always makes me feel cold
I am looking forward to it (im halfway through season 3 the Jimmy Smits one ) it really was a superb series

Let hope they don’t gloss over that then ! It may get explained later, they’re good writers I can’t see they would just brush that off….disappointing if they do

Anyway anyone care to comment about Season 3 the Jimmy Smits / Prado the DA one ?
How come Prado could see exactly what was happening and what Dexter was up to….
i love the way the writers are making his situation difficult and things are Insidiously closing in on him

I am looking forward to this I just really hope they dont ruin it for me. It can go either way but I've always been a Dexter fan!

It was pretty good. I have some niggles though ..

The supporting cast are weak. There's no Doakes / laGuerrta / Angel etc etc here. No strong characters

It's gone woke. But hey it's 2021 I suppose

There's no rhyme or reason how, after ten years, Harrison has found him. I know this will be explained but it just seemed oddly done to me. He broke into his house to rifle through drawers? After watching him from afar? Again, why?

But it was old school dexter I suppose and I watched it and enjoyed it on the whole

Really enjoyed it. Hated the way they ended the original series so I'm hopeful they do a better job this time.

I really enjoyed New Blood too. As long as Deb came back, I wasn’t bothered about other cast members

Joining in! Loved Dexter, hated the finale. Just watched the new one. I didn't love it, but thought it was promising. We will see what next week brings!

I’m on season 5 now the one with Lumen….loving it (highlight from season 4 I think was Matsuko in leopard print thong😂) I’m thinking season 5 is coming on for the last one with splashes of humour as far as I remember
