New thread for tonight. Will they have to replicate a Tunnock's product? Creme caramel? Can't think what else they might have to do.

Oh I'm so, so pleased! I cried Blush

herecomesthsun · 23/11/2021 21:16

I want the Giuseppe-and-his-dad's cookbook.

Unescorted · 23/11/2021 21:17

Australian Bake off..... Hmmmm

Unescorted · 23/11/2021 21:17

@herecomesthsun

I want the Giuseppe-and-his-dad's cookbook.
So do I
awaynboilyurheid · 23/11/2021 21:17

Yay! So delighted! For Giuseppe cheering here!
(Whoever turned off Crystels oven well done!)

ILoveYou3000 · 23/11/2021 21:17

His panna cotta won it for him 👌🏼

I feel sad he wasn't at the reunion but love that Juergen played his trombone.

Definitely need a Giuseppe and Juergen baking show!

MrsFin · 23/11/2021 21:18

Please that Chantal didn't win. What on earth happened to her focaccia?

I was rooting for Chiggs, but happy with a Giuseppe win.

toomuchlaundry · 23/11/2021 21:18

Loved that ending, started to tear up when they posted the thank you to everyone, never mind the road trip montage!

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 23/11/2021 21:19

That was spookily quick, @BoreOfWhabylon! Very, very behind with The Archers. Distracted by baking.

@ArseInTheCoOpWindow

I just want to know why Pru is wearing a giant red spider round her neckHmm
She is being attacked by a monster from Dr Who that has been lured across galaxies by the smell of cakes baking.
FitYeDaeinYeMadRadge · 23/11/2021 21:20

@MrsFin

I think her focaccia confit idea failed miserably.

PickAChew · 23/11/2021 21:21

I'd buy Giuseppi and his dad's book. Love that the where are they now tune was in Italian!

IsFuzzyBeagMise · 23/11/2021 21:21

Ah...Giuseppe! So happy for him!

(And I would love the cookbook too).

Lynda has a new hairstyle. A pixie cut, performed by Chelsea Horrobin. Mystery Play preparation continues apace.
Innocenta · 23/11/2021 21:23

I felt so sorry for Crystelle, if she was indeed shining as much as the edit suggested. But Giuseppe is a lovely baker and I think deserved the win - they couldn't ignore Crystelle's centrepiece having failed. Incredibly happy for Giuseppe!

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 23/11/2021 21:25

Thanks, Bore, I'll probably brace myself and catch up tomorrow. Cake > Archers 🏹

Chig’s has the healthiest growth mindset! He needs to write books!!

Yes, me too. Loved the road trip pictures!
minmooch · 23/11/2021 21:26

May have had a happy tear for Giuseppe. Think overall he deserved the win.

Kookookachuu · 23/11/2021 21:31

He definitely deserved to win, so happy for him! Although I did like all of the finalists.

loveablequalities · 23/11/2021 21:37

So pleased for Giuseppe!

I wanted to eat all of those mad hatter things.

I would like them to do more savoury bakes though. At least one of the three rounds ought to be savoury imo. Especially for the final.

I wonder what Big G is doing in Milan?

Faevern · 23/11/2021 21:42

His LinkedIn says he has been working as an engineer in Milan since July this year.

Faevern · 23/11/2021 21:44

@WhatHoMarjorie

I hope they re-jig the format for next year. I feel it's gone a bit...stale.
I agree I didn’t enjoy Noel and Matt this year either, it needs refreshing.
Exhausteddog · 23/11/2021 21:47

I didn't mind who who won and from what we saw it was really difficult to choose.
I couldn't understand how Crystelle didn't notice the focaccia not rising/cooking ....although I doubt she had time to make another one....but we didn't see any drama when she realised ....(she must have realised?)
I felt really bad for Giuseppe when the oven was off and for Crystelle when they said the foccaccia was raw which I'm sure she knew she looked like she was about to cry. I also thought the mushrooms looked phallic! Grin

Love love love the update and the fact they all met up afterwards Smile

SoMuchToBits · 23/11/2021 21:47

I'm pleased Giuseppe won. He was my next favourite after Juergen, and thought he was an all round good baker. Smile
